issue with Digium TDM410P
The TDM410P doesn't support 'hvac', only the obsolete TDM400P supports that option was for the old phones that have a neon light (or equivalent LED+ZENER ciruit). Are other phones off the TDM410P (other than the VTECH) working, or is the Vtech the only model with VMWI available to you. I'm not able to check at the moment, I have copied the asterisk-users list, someone else may have had the same problem. Asterisk support for NEON or Centrex/CLASS/VMWI MW formats ?
...------- next part -------------- Hello I have Scitec 5S-c Analog Phone connected to Asterisk PBX. This phone has Message Waiting Indicator but I don't see it lighted whenever any voice mail comes. From phone documentation I came to know that this phone is compatible with NEON or Centrex/CLASS/VMWI message waiting formats. Could anyone please tell me if Asterisk PBX support these formats too. Do I need to do some configuration at * end to make use of MWI faeature. My voicemail folder is /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/610/INBOX Regards Tony

1.6.1 + TDM840 FSK MWI problem
Hi, Using 1.4.26.1 & DAHDI 2.2.0.2, FSK VMWI devices off a TDM840 work fine. With 1.6.1.[45] & same DAHDI, instead of the FSK spill I get a line polarity reversal. Stutter dialtone is generated as expected. Has anyone else seen this? Is there anything special I need to do for 1.6.1 to make FSK MWI work? Thanks, --Barry

multiline, cordless, expandable phone system and asterisk message waiting
Basically, pretty much all the 2 line cordless systems I've seen come with a built in digital answering system that I'll never use, the main problem with this is that these units don't support VMWI (visual message waiting indicator) with telco supplied voicemail. This is a problem because I'll be setup an Asterisk system in the next month or so to handle my 2 analog and 1 voip phone lines and I want to be able to know by looking at the phones that there are messages waiting rather t...

sipura 3000 mwi stutter problem
May be I have fiddled too much with my sipura settings but I can't get it to give the stutter tone when there is a new voice mail waiting on the asterisk box. I can either get a stutter tone all the time or not at all. Anyone got this working. Thanks Chris

Annoying Sipura problem?
This may not be the right place to ask, but I have an annoying issue with a Sipura/SPA1000-2.0.10(e) ATA device connected to an Asterisk box. (The system is remote to me, so I've only been able to observe this by dialling into a VoIP phone on-site, then run commands on the box remotely!) First of all it's all working fine connected to an Asterisk box and the user can make/take calls

On-Hook ADSI
...ned that there is some sort of standard apparently related to Caller ID to allow for a Message Waiting Indicator tone that will turn the light on or off. For those who care, the PowerTouch phones from Aastra support this famously (and it has nothing to do with ADSI). A big light flashes red and a VMWI event is triggered (allowing, for example, the voicemail softkey to show up only when messages are waiting). It's extremely slick. Since this tone plays onhook and apparently the ADSI spec is fine with on-hook programming, I though that maybe I could use a special application (maybe triggered...

SPA-3000 - Stop Message Waiting Indication
...e on the phone attached to Line 1 of the SPA-3000 and it does 1 ring every now and again. How can it be doing this if I dont have a mailbox= line in the asterisk config? Any ideas how to stop the SPA-3000 detecting a message is waiting? For now, I think i've got rid of it by disabling MWI and VMWI on the SPA-3000 config but it would be nice to do it in Asterisk so my spa3k config is as generic as possible. Thanks --ian
