[Fwd: Re: Which product to use?]
Dave, I have been interested in some of the same questions that you have been asking. A while back I asked a person at VLSI ( http://www.vlsi.fi/ ) in Finland if they had a product that might work. The exchange of email is included below. In summary, the answer was probably no, but maybe in the future. The VS1005 chip he mentions does not seem to have appeared yet. I currently have a pair of Microchip DSPIC33 base...

Hi, I need to add X.509 Certificate support to OpenSSH. I came across the following post on the openssh-unix-dev mailing list that is very useful: http://marc.info/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=120298135706959&w=2 <http://marc.info/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=120298135706959&w=2> And also, http://marc.info/?l=openssh-unix-dev&m=104395024824680&w=2

SuSE 9.0 PXE boot problem
...- kernel unpacks, and ... - the screen is an 80x25 chaos of ASCII characters with various attributes, like blink, etc. Machine stops. Nothing happens. It looks as if the kernel was unpacked into the EGA video memory region at segment b800. Any clue what happens? -- Think of it! With VLSI we can pack 100 ENIACs in 1 sq. cm.!

Vorbis decoder chip on SparkFun
I'm open to flames if this has already been posted. http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=8300 As of April 17th, SF listed a new Ogg Vorbis decoder chip that is seriously listing for $10 USD. I'm excited. I think I'll buy a couple and integrate them into an IR streaming project I've been tinkering with. -Chris Harrington

LIttle problem when installing xapian-bindings-1.4.22
...4.22 to avoid cluttering. I will try to do what you have given me. if that does not work, I will try to remove the older xapian-core-1.4.18 library wherever it is if I can locate it. Then I will give the path for the new one. GTK is just one of the things I have to install to do design layout in VLSI graphic Layout Design, latest will better if I can manage to get the dependencies installed. I will update you Olly and I must thank you very much. Very much appreciated. With my best regards Mike Sent with Proton Mail secure email. ------- Original Message ------- On Tuesday, May 23rd...

Ogg Vorbis Framing
Hi all, Here are some thoughts on Vorbis framing, which may make it easier to stream Vorbis in real time. The suggested changes also move more audio data closer to the beginning of each page. A note in the Vorbis framing spec suggests a simple 'bandwidth limited' mode whereby important information is placed at the front of each page and the end of each page is discarded. When operating

Geek Squad UPS Systems
We are interested in using Nut on our Federa 6.0 servers. However, our UPS systems are sold under the name "Geek Squad" (sold through the Best Buy chain of department stores). I'm pretty certain Geek Squad does not manufacture these units and they just rebrand them. Does anyone know who makes these units or what they are compatible with in terms of driver level protocol? The ones we

[Fwd: Re: OpenSSH and X.509 Certificate Support]
Hi Roumen, I discovered that the need of appending the .pub part of id_rsa(client key+cert) on the server can be eliminated by adding the Certificate Blob to authorized_keys which could look something like this: x509v3-sign-rsa subject= /C=FR/ST=PARIS/L=DESEl/O=SSL/OU=VLSI/CN=10.244.82.83/emailAddress=client at company.com This is extracted from the client certificate using openssl as described in the README file provided by you at http://roumenpetrov.info/openssh/x509h/README.x509v3 This system works fine, however my only concern is that I would like all Client...
