Ubuntu packages on s390x
Hello,
Are there any plans to add R packages for Ubuntu on other architectures in addition to amd64? We are looking for s390x packages as the version from the distro's package manger is 4.2.2. I'm happy to help in any way I can.
Thank you.

Relationship between covariance and inverse covariance matrices
...ebraic system of linear equations for a and a-inverse
but couldn't come up with anything.
Let me know if I'm not clear on anything. Basically I'd just like
to see what type of covariance matrices will produce an inverse
covariance matrix with some zero elements.
Thanks,

GAM with Locfit components
...d that, for the S language, you just
have to "load" the locfit package using the command :
Library(locfit, first="T")
in order to use locfit components in an additive model.
But I can?t. I guess the C-command differs from the S-command.
Thanks in advance for your help.

isolinux.bin 3.72 question
...sub directory, created ISO will succeed to boot. So is there any restriction of the files' number under the root directory?
In some cases, the additional files I add in the ISO have a long name( > 31 characters) and more than one dot. Does it affect that the created ISO boot?

a Weighted Least Square model for a binary response variable
...Weighted Least Square model for a
binary response variable, say Y. The model is actually the model
widely used for a binary dependent variable when the logistic model
has not been invented. The weight is 1/(E(Y)(1-E(Y)).
Could someone help me out? Thanks for any replies in advance!

Weighted Least Square Model for a Binary Outcome

I know that varPower() in the package of gls() can provide an optimal
alpha estimator for a weight with the form of $E(Y)^{-2\alpha}$, which
does not include the weight form I need. Please correct me if I am
wrong.
Thanks for any replies in advance!

Error while logging on..
...;s the keywords I'm using. Anyway, this
is the error message:
"The domain password you supplied is not correct, or access to your logon

I have synchronised the passwords manually, I am not using anything tricky
that I may not remember or miss-type.

Late Domain Logon
...pops up, I can log in fine and there's
no other problem. I see no errors in the log file, it seems as if
everything else is operation perfectly. Should I build my server from
scratch with Redhat 6.2, perhaps 6.1 didn't like the upgrade?
Thanks in advance for any help someone may offer.
