[LLVMdev] vestiges of multiple return values
Hi,
I was trying to remove some old code that handles ReturnInsts with
more than 1 operand -- see attached patch -- when I stumbled across
test/Assembler/aggregate-return-single-value.ll:
define { i32 } @fooa() nounwind {
ret i32 0
}
...
define [1 x i32] @fooc() nounwind {
ret i32 0
}
Is there really any need to handle these odd cases, where the type of
the value being returned doesn't

Question about "core: remove vestiges of using nasm -f bin"
This commit removes
%ifdef MAP
[map all MAP]
%endif
from core/layout.inc.
Do we need to remove the map option from gfxboot.asm too?
My ancient nasm 0.98.39 doesn't print any warning.

Client fails kex after c38ea634893a1975dbbec798fb968c9488013f4a
I have a Putty variant that works well with openSSH up until 7.4. After
git bisecting I found that after the application of
c38ea634893a1975dbbec798fb968c9488013f4a the client fails with host key
mismatch. The commit in question appears to remove vestiges of ssh-1
support but my client is using 2.0. I am trying to work out what in that
commit would lead to the symptoms. I have been through the patch and it
appears to be remove the ssh-1 option processing (-b etc.) but nothing
directly relating to key exchange processing.
I have verified that if I r...

weighted average grouped by variables
Dear Massimo,
It seems straightforward to use weighted.mean() in a dplyr context
library(dplyr)
mydf %>%
group_by(date_time, type) %>%
summarise(vel = weighted.mean(speed, n_vehicles))

Win2K Profiles and a Samba PDC.
We're a Solaris/Linux shop, trying to migrate the last vestiges of our
NT domain over to Samba. We've got a few users using Windows 20000
workstations, and for some odd reason can't get them to join the domain
with local profiles. The Winboxen always try to create roaming profiles
on the PDC (which we don't want), and there's no way to for...

comapi removal
I have checked in a branch which removes the last vestiges of the INT
22h calls and the comapi. Unfortunately it doesn't quite work yet (we
crash on trying to boot something), but if someone wants to take a look
that would be useful. I suspect it is probably a relatively simple
problem, but I don't know for sure.

Does DomainCompatibilityMode still work for NT4 domain joins in Windows 10?
Greetings!
I have a brand new Windows 10 Pro box, Version 1703, Build 15063.1155, and
made the two registry mods (DNSNameResolutionRequired and
DomainCompatibilityMode) to enable it to join an old-style NT4 Samba domain
(Version 4.3). However, I note that the dialog for joining a domain within
Windows 10 now specifically says to "Join an Active Directory Domain," and
no attempt to join

"cloud" function doesn't plot
Forgive me please if this has been answered previously, but the r-help
archive doesn't have a "search" capability. It's a pity, as I'm sure that
there's a wealth of informative help in there.
I am unable to get the "cloud" function to produce a fundamental 3D
scatterplot. I have a 3-column numeric matrix:
>is.matrix(sanity.MIF); is.numeric(sanity.MIF);

Add wrapper to Shiny in R package
Dear Axel,
I've used environment for such problems.
assign("xs", xs, envir = my.env) in the myApp function
get("xs", envir = my.env) in the server function

Call for testing: OpenSSH 9.3
Hi,
OpenSSH 9.3p1 is almost ready for release, so we would appreciate testing
on as many platforms and systems as possible. This is a bugfix release.
Snapshot releases for portable OpenSSH are available from
http://www.mindrot.org/openssh_snap/
The OpenBSD version is available in CVS HEAD:

Add wrapper to Shiny in R package
Dear List,
I'm trying to add a function that calls a Shiny App in my R package. The
issue is that within my function, I'm creating objects that I'd like to
pass to the app. For instance, from the example below, I'm getting
"Error: object
'xs' not found". How can I pass "xs" explicitly to shinyApp()?
*Under R directory:*
myApp <- function(x, ...) {

Keep on getting message errors when trying to install and load packages
Dear Paul,
We install R in C:/R/R-x.y.z and packages in C:/R/library. This makes
the packages location independent from the R version.

Getting Oriented
It was disconcerting to find the Official HowTo,
https://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/, to be for
Samba 3.5. Much other documentation (both online and Using Samba, 3rd
Edition* by *Jay Ts; Gerald Carter; Robert Eckstein, O'Reilly Media, Inc)
is also old. Apparently a known problem,

VST plugin (ez drummer)
Hi, I just registered. I have a problem related to wine:
lmms can run some vst plugins with VeSTige, so I tried to get ez drummer working. It didn't work, so I downloaded Toontrack Solo, that is a program needed to run ez drummer as a standalone, and not as a plugin. It still wouldn't work, neither as a standalone.
I made a few searches and I found out that it needed mfc42.dll so I

[LLVMdev] Drop the machine code while executing
That's a good point. But it's worth noting that recompileAndRelinkFunction() and freeMachineCodeForFunction() are both vestiges of the old JIT (i.e. the "JIT" as opposed to the "MCJIT"). The old JIT is no longer actively supported.

rename multiple files by file.rename or other functions
Hi,
I have 50 files whose names are
XYZW01Genesis_ABC.mp3
XYZW02Genesis_ABC.mp3
.......
XYZW50Genesis_ABC.mp3
As you can tell, the only difference across the files are 01, 02,
03,....50.
I would like to rename them to
01Gen01.mp3
01Gen02.mp3
.......
01Gen50.mp3
If I store them in one folder and write an R code in that folder, how can
it be done?
Thanks,
John

Keep on getting message errors when trying to install and load packages
Hi Paul,
I recently ran into file path conflicts and found the following useful
(looks like you already know the answer to 1.):
1. Use .libPaths() to find where packages are being stored.
2. To change this path: Control Panel > search ?View advanced system
settings? > Environment Variables *button *>
a. *Edit* current R_LIBS_USER to new file path
b. *New*
