[PATCH 2/2] x86/vdso: Add VCLOCK_HVCLOCK vDSO clock read method
Hyper-V TSC page clocksource is suitable for vDSO, however, the protocol
defined by the hypervisor is different from VCLOCK_PVCLOCK. Implement the
required support by adding hvclock_page VVAR.

[PATCH v2 0/3] x86/vdso: Add Hyper-V TSC page clocksource support
Hi,
while we're still waiting for a definitive ACK from Microsoft that the
algorithm is good for SMP case (as we can't prevent the code in vdso from
migrating between CPUs) I'd like to send v2 with some modifications to keep
the discussion going.
Changes since v1:
- Document the TSC page reading protocol [Thomas Gleixner].
- Separate the TSC page reading code from read_hv_clock_tsc() and put it to

[patch 0/2] Updates to compat VDSOs
Hi Andi,
Here's a couple of patches to fix up COMPAT_VDSO:
The first is a straightforward implementation of Jan's original idea
of relocating the VDSO to match its mapped location. Unlike Jan and
Zach's version, I changed it to relocate based on the phdrs rather than
the sections; the result is pleasantly compact.

[PATCH v3 06/19] asm/rwonce: Don't pull <asm/barrier.h> into 'asm-generic/rwonce.h'
Now that 'smp_read_barrier_depends()' has gone the way of the Norwegian
Blue, drop the inclusion of <asm/barrier.h> in 'asm-generic/rwonce.h'.
This requires fixups to some architecture vdso headers which were
previously relying on 'asm/barrier.h' coming in via 'linux/compiler.h'.

So I keep my algorithm untouched.
I can see two more reasons for us to keep it:
1) It is what we already have in kernel.
2) It is what Windows does (see the disassembly in c35b82ef0294.
