...me and for StrategyDesk in the past, and it was solved previously installing ies4linux, but I'm using a Mac (10.6.2). I did however install IE6 using winetricks, as I did on my previous system, which solved my install problems last time around. Also using winetricks, I've installed MFC42, vcrun6sp6, and dotnet30. I saw some complaints during one of the installs that SSL will fail because gnutls was not installed, so I installed that using MacPorts. Any pointers on this one? This is the one Windows app I really cannot do without! :-) Cheers, -Fred

Hi guys, For some reason, certain window's .exe installers give the following error: Code: Runtime Error (at - 1:0): Cannot Import dll:C:\users\xxx\Temp\is-00IEG.tmp\isskin.dll This error has occurred while attempting to install certain applications/games...any idea what this is referring to? I have a couple of programs, one a windows .exe, the other a .java program that re user created programs that support SimCity 4. I've tried adding them to various places around wine's file system, but no soap. How does one do this? Does wine include the JRE to run java stuff? I can edit the registry if only I knew what to put in there and where.

I have very interesting problem. In some games in certain locations FPS falls down to approximately 2 or 3. For example in "King's Bounty: the Legend". The game starts smoothly and runs smoothly, but when I enter some locations (training dungeon for example) the FPS becomes extremely low, if I quit this location fps becomes normal again. I'm trying to install/run a accounting software which is build on VB6 , software gates installed, but at some function I get the "Run-time error 339 component 'agentctl.dll' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid I've installed vb6run vcrun2008 any solution ????? is there any anyone who is facing same problem ??? As I mentioned in the subject, I have installed the latest version of QQ International (beta 3), under wine in ubuntu lucid. It installs without much trouble, however when I run the application, nothing happens. How do I begin troubleshooting this application to see if I can make it work? Or if anyone happens to know of an x64 linux qq client that actually works that would be great too :D
