every increasing connection count followed by load # overload
...of the samba processes seem to get stuck
in state "D"
inode count usage is unrealisticically high. :)
I deleted all the samba db files, no change.
If I put in a max connections limit of 155, it doesn't "fork bomb".
Where should I start looking?

Samba Access Linux with Windows 2008 R2 DC
I am having a problem with accessing a Samba share from a Windows 7 system. I think I have the Samba system configured correctly because I can join the Domain.

Loosing admin privileges after login
Hello,
I am a Samba-newbie, so please excuse, if my question
seems to you stupid.
I've set up a PDC, based on Samba 3.0.14a (SerNet) and
a OpenLDAP-Server. So I took a Windows XP client and
integrated it to the domain. Afterwards I logged in as
administrator and copied the existing profile of an
user to the server.
The user was able to login and his profile was loaded

W2K3 SP1 - PERSISTENT CONNECTION(S) BUG?
After testing my W2K3 SP1 terminal server against a SAMBA server *AND* a
W2K server, I have noticed the following *odd* behavior.
LOGIN: Map drive letters
LOGOUT: Connections are still connected. on BOTH W2K and SAMBA file servers.
