Rsync-2.5.5 on Tru64 UNIX V51.A
Hi
I am trying to compile rsync-2.5.5 on Tru64 UNIX V5.1A
The configure completed sucessfully however the make failed. The following
is a copy of the configure and make output. Could you please provide advice
as to why this is failing and hopefully resolution.
Just as a matter of comparison - rsync-2.5.4 make also fails, however,
rsync-2.4.8 compiled sucessfully on this version of Tru64 5.1A

prcomp: Error in La.svd(x, nu, nv): error code 1 from Lapack routine "dgesdd"
Dear R community,
I have a data matrix (531X314), and would like to apply the prcomp. However, I got this error Lapack message. I am using R3.2.2.
I googled a bit and found that it might be related to converge issue. ?Just wonder if there is a way to get around it?
Thank you very much!

I have a fixed width file with variables of varying width. The help is
pretty transparent for this feature, but I can't seem to figure out how
I can make effective use of the package with my data.
In my dataset, the first 80 columns are of width 1 followed by other
variables with width larger than 1.
I think the correct way to do this, by brute force, would be

[PATCH 1/2] readtable: add hook for type conversions per column
This commit adds a function parameter to readtable. The function is called
for every column.
The goal is to allow specific (non-standard) type conversions depending on the input.
When the parameter is not given, or the function returns NULL, the legacy default applies.
The colClasses parameter still takes precedence, i.e. the colConvertFn only applies to
the default conversions.
This allows to
