ups.status don't switch to "OB LB"
...o work fine, upsc output looks good [2] except that I can?t get the low battery state "OB LB? as usual (it works fine with others UPS like APC or Dell). Here is the configuration : [lgups] driver = snmp-ups port = 192.168.99.60 community = public snmp_version = v2c mibs = auto pollfreq = 30 Nut version is 2.7.2 (Debian Jessie package). I begin to suspect that the snmp driver or MIB didn?t get the change, is it possible ? or could it only be the UPS itself (snmp bug or configuration issue) ? Any idea on how can I dig more about that ? Chee...

Tripplite SNMPwebcard communication lost and established randomly
...urs I started getting emails and messages in the console about communication lost (COMMBAD) and shortly after it being established. This happens over and over again. I thought perhaps I needed to change some of the settings in ups.conf. I tried adjusting the pollfreq up to 30, using an snmp_version v2c, and a few other adjustments. However the behavior persists. I just stated to use NUT. I'm not sure if NUT is causing this, or perhaps the SNMPwebcard in the UPS. Or perhaps a switch on the network. And I'm not really sure how to figure it out. I'm starting with NUT since that is the o...

SNMPv3
...ed on the APC with default public read private write, NUT will happily use its defaults to talk to the APC using v1 even though you have configured the ups.conf settings for v3 following documentation examples. Note: contrary to the documentation saying that valid values for snmp_version are v1 or v2c, if we look at line 348 of nut-2.6.5/drivers/snmp-ups.c we see that v3 is also a valid choice. So is anyone actually using SNMPv3 with NUT? Thanks. -- Tim Rice Multitalents (707) 456-1146 tim at multitalents.net (707) 887-1469

UCD-SNMP-MIB::dskPercent not returned for ZFS filesystems?
Hello. On a Solaris 10 10/08 (137137-09) Sparc system, I setup SMA to also return values for disk usage, by adding the following to snmpd.conf: disk / 5% disk /tmp 10% disk /apps 4% disk /data 3% /data and /apps are on ZFS. But when I do "snmpwalk -v2c -c public 10.0.1.26 UCD-SNMP-MIB::dskPercent", it only returns values for the first two directories (/ and /tmp), which are on UFS and Swap, respectively. But for /apps and /data, it just returns 0, which is not correct. Question now: Is it supposed to be that way? Or is Solaris 10 supposed t...
