Fuzzy searching
Hi, everyone, Just wondering if someone had come up with a good way to do fuzzy searches if you use MySQL as your database (we tried switching to PostgreSQL, but that ended up adding even more problems). Ferret sounds great, but reading through the discussion it looks like we need to solve the problem of write conflicts. I just wrote a post in ruby-talk about using KirbyBase maybe to solve

I would like my rails application to have controllers logically grouped into folders. So for instance: http://domain.com/accounting/accounts http://domain.com/hr/employees Here''s how I have tried to

NEW RAILS SITE: Riding two bubbles at the same time
Today we finally opened the doors to "Street Easy" (http:// www.streeteasy.com/), a Real Estate Research Site for New York City. It was built by two guys in three months. It doesn''t have tags, but it has google maps. It rides two bubbles at the same time. It''s like road kill: the price tags will shock you, but you won''t be able to stop browsing around.

Save and delete buttons: POST vs. proximity dilemma
I''m in a dilemma: In order to keep GET requests from deleting objects, I''d like to use the button_to helper to get "something" that generates a POST request. Unfortunately, that something is a form and forms can''t be nested. I''d also like to place buttons related to the same form close to each other. At the top are some navigational buttons

Why Wouldn't I Use Rails
I am starting a large project and still selecting what framework to use. Rather than ask brand x what is wrong with brand y, I am more interested in self confession. Why would I *not* want to use Rails (compared to Iowa and Nitro). I posted a synopsis of the project to ruby-talk but will repost it here if anyone wants it. xev
