Cost of IP Phones, or Isn't It Just Software?
...chips for downloadable ringtones if you so desire. The 2-line restriction would be purely theoretical, allowing for 4, 6, or even 12 lines to be registered (who really needs more than 3 or 4?). The device could be well documented, opening the door/port for open-source software. Does this sound to utopian, or do my fellow list-members think there is an idea here? How many more PBXs would you integrators sell if the cost was down to $150/station for a business-class phone? How many more features could be implemented with an open-source UA? (Menus, Visual Voicemail, extended CallerID info, Call Del...

[LLVMdev] MCELFStreamer subclassing
...difficulty of subclassing MCELFStreamer. Or are you saying that I should be messing with the base MCELFStreamer for a specific fixup. One of the issues I hit initially with llvm is that in terms of relocation and fixups there was an assumption of universal fixups/relocation types. That was really Utopian. These need to be all down in the Target regions and not in the base classes. Eventually we will have to change the organization of MCExpr to allow this, but I digress. If I am to subclass MCELFStreamer, that brings me back to my original question. Is it possible to do this currently at the Target...

legalities of streaming
Where would you find out who's in charge of this in the country you're in (other than just doing it and waiting for letters from lawyers ;) ). Thanks Hans Remco B. [LLVMdev] MCELFStreamer subclassing
Hi Jack, I'm not 100% up on how MIPS represents jump tables, so take with a grain of salt and all that. Normally how this stuff works is that the streamer will create Fixups (MCDataFragment::addFixup()) for anything that might require a relocation. That may come from the generic streamer stuff (see MCObjectStreamer::EmitValueImpl() for example), or from the target's MCCodeEmitter (for

[LLVMdev] MCELFStreamer subclassing
Well Jim, that may just be my problem. As background I am working on the outer reaches of llvm for the direct object output for Mips. Part of what I am to do is instruct the folks working closer to the backend what I am getting that is incorrect. My first reaction is to assume that I am being fed things the correct way and that I am not handling it correctly. I feed the compiler a source file

* and Fax
Hi, I think this is one area that needs to be developed. I am curently implementing a system for my home so cannot really justify the cost of financially supporting the development of this when all I really need to do is buy a telephone extension lead for my existing fax modem!!! I am more than willing to devote some testing/documentation time (I am not really a programmer) if that helps.
