...gely, if I first run the Quicknet SDK utility "ring_detect" with the correct cadence setting, I can get the card to detect an incoming ring. If I then quit the ring_detect utility and immediately start Asterisks, I can then get Asterisks to detect a ring. Without running the ring_detect utlility first, Atserisks will not detect the incoming call at all. I've switch back and forth between the two tools and listen hour after hour and compared. I kept track of the CPU utlilization. shoutCAST DSP keeps a around a stead 50% CPU utilization with 3 output streams. streamTranscaster cycles from almost 0% up to 100% evbery few seconds. What is everyones opinion and expierience with using ODDSOCK streamTranscoder to downsample mp3 streams? I tried it on Windows 2000 and then compared it against shoutCAST DSP plugin. It sucked. It skipped and popped and cut off the first 1/2 second of each track and dropped. It sucked, while shoutCast DSP was flawless. What attracted to me to streamTranscoder was you don't have to run an MP3
