During my initial download for my home directory backup, it took rsync over 6 hours to do the initial backup, but I can FTP the stuff in about 30 Mins. Is Rsync usualy this slow? I have compression turned on, and its across a 100 MB/S network, Anyone had this problem before? Steve Sills

Hello, I continue to run some tests against glusterfs. I am running openvz containers where their filesystem is in a glusterfs mount. For some reason, mysql takes ages to start up, probably up to a minute, where usualy takes a few seconds. Any idea why this could be? I have not measured query performance yet. Could it be because of lack of mmap on fuse? Thanks Pablo

dear group members, I am looking for a function that assess the stability of cluster. The result of hclust function is an hclust object which can be plot as a dendrogram. However to have confidence in the tree topology usualy bootstap is applied. I understand that I can apply bootstarp on the original data and then run hclust(dist() ) as much as I resampled but how to comapre the topologies the I don't know. Greetings. Every couple of day's I have a web server running CentOS 4.1 with all the patches as of Saturday that is crashing every couple of day's. Usualy between 4-6 am. The Console shows: Double Fault gdt at xxxx memory Double Falut tss at xxxx memory On reboot all is fine. It's running apache and DNS no SSH access. It passes memory test Memtest86. Hai Guys, I have a serious problem with my Samba 4.0.5 and it is getting often and often. Usualy when a user would like to renam e a file samba crashes and lock out the user. Nothing works just server restart and I mean the entire server not just samba, if I restart samba..nothing happens, the user(s) could not reach their shares. I attached a log about the problem.
