Residue bit usage, library incompatibilities
.... I've been in the process of making digital copies of a bunch of my music, and I keep getting this "residue bit usage" message when oggenc finishes. I'm trying to encode data from an audio CD at 160bps, and it always seems to get booted back down to ~128 bps with this residue bit ussage message. Again, I'm using the rc2 libvorbis, libogg, and vorbis-tools, with the libao 0.8 available from the download area on xiph.org. The beta4 libraries don't do this. Is this -supposed- to happen, or some odd sort of bug? To get around this, I'd just roll back to the beta4 release...

Dificult macro, please advise
...;m trying is to enable call a channel (e.g. SIP/3) and being able to leave a message only on box 2 while any other call to any other user (e.g.SIP/1 or SIP/2) and leave a message only on mailbox 1. This is inteded for a SOHO environment. I have defined only two mailboxes, the 1'st for personal ussage and the 2'nd for profesional usage. The macro that now allows me to do that is the following: EXT_CALLER= EXT_STUDIO=SIP/3 exten => _X,1,Macro(diallocal|SIP/${EXTEN}|20,Tr) [macro-diallocal] exten => s,1,Dial(${ARG1}|${ARG2}|${ARG3}) exten => s,2,Set(EXT_CALLED=${ARG1}) exten =&gt...

sangoma asterisk patches
...el Maybe this is just because the potential problem was not clear. So right now I'm waiting for clarifications. Until then I would recommend for anybody using Zaptel with non-Sangoma digital cards not to apply that patch. I see no reason why a patch that slightly adapts Zaptel to allow better ussage with Sangoma hardware could be applied. But such a patch should first and formmost be technically sound. -- Tzafrir Cohen icq#16849755 jabber:tzafrir.cohen at xorcom.com +972-50-7952406 mailto:tzafrir.cohen at xorcom.com http://www.xorcom.com iax:gue...

Actually for my specific ussage, that is a solved problem. Communication from client to proxy is IPv4. Communication from proxy to server is IPv6. The proxy simply embed the client IPv4 as the last 32 bits of the client IPv6 visible to the server. > Something I would prefer not to enter into. You don't have to. At least...
