Problem with Trellis graphics in nlme
...the graphics go very peculiar. The graphics in the example from the manual fill most of the vertical extent of the graphics device. My graphics are correct horizontally, but are confined to about one-fifth of the vertical extent of the graphics device. As a result they look odd, and are almost usless for analysis. They do seem, however, to be the correct graphics (In this case maternal weight against gestational age for two groups of women). I have read the manual for the lattice commands, and the nlme command, and indeed for the plain plot command, but failed to get any ideas. Roughly, I...

More Random Behaviour
...nning (not the way I wanted, but running). Then, for no reason, and with NO changes made, it started to deny me access to my home directory. FOR NO REASON. I had not changed anything. I've been fighting just that kind of random failures for the past couple of weeks. The logs are pretty much usless. Even at log level 10, it only shows that it denied access, and gives idiot reasons like "user not found" or some such. I'm now down-reving to 3.0.12 . I've installed that version in other places with good result, I'm hoping it will correct the issues here. I can't go...

RFC: gallium/nv50: get rid of the screen_init stateobj
Hi. There's not much to say here, just replacing the screen_init stateobj with direct pushbuffer emission. We don't need to store all the usless state from init, and the constant buffer relocations which currently don't work if the addresses change (because the method CB_DEF_SET isn't among them (not an address)) become effective. Thoughts, ack / nack ? Thanks, Christoph -------------- next part -------------- An embedded and ch...

Fwd: RSync Progress Report Request
...le rsync is creating. So I turned on --progress. Great I can see the transfer of each file but most files are small or only require a attribute change (modify time, permissions, owner etc) When you do a verbose progress report of a lot of files much of the time the progress reports generated are usless as it took less than a second to transfer the file. Really I am only interested in the progress report for files that are taking some time so I can see how the transfer is progressing. A --progress_time option will only progress report the larger files that is taking longer than the time indicate...

Thankyou the information provided was informative to say the most. Quote "Shorewall Masqurading made simple ?" I will not comment any futher about my simple question as I see nothing but backtracking information. Maybe all the usless information is somthing to do with the below, Linux how it works! First you must remember that 98% of linux programmers are kids or they have been around computers all their life hence everything must be the way it is such as "Well you must register first etc. we need that email address , n...

Ogg Vorbis in Creative products petition
Hi all dudes. We're organizing a petition to ask Creative to include Ogg Vorbis support in one of their next firmware releases of their digital players. This is very important for two reasons: 1) Creative is a big company. If they include Ogg support in their digital players, other manufacturers will follow the example. 2) This should improve use experience of this class of products for

quotas: documentation? Properties?
System: samba 2.0.4b on Solaris 2.x Starting point: PC's "Properties" window on a share of home directories; diskspace Used/Free "pie-chart" and figures. A colleague asked me yesterday whether this properties window could display the diskspace information, using the user's UNIX quota rather than the physical space on the disk. Our environment has potentially 14,000

Samba causing problems with NT tools
Samba is causing a couple huge problems for the NT admins here since we switched a bunch of machines to security=server and started running nmbd. We're running Samba 2.0.2 and 2.0.3 on a mix of Solaris, HP-UX, and OSF1 machines. One, selecting a Samba server in Server Manager, then selecting Computer/ Services causes Server Manager to crash ("An application error has occurred, blah blah,
