The UPS seems to disconnect totally, i need to physically disconnect the cable to get the UPS connected again. A reboot is not enough. Also tried 2 different cables, the one i use now is shielded + 2 ferrite chokes to limit interference. I'm trying to use a Xorcom Astribank wth Ubuntu 8.04, but got no success. I can see the channel bank with lsusb, but when I tried to use zaptel_hardware, or when I try the /etc/init.d/script, they don't see my Channel Bank. I can start the driver successfully manually, after the machine is up and running, but at boot time, it can't find my UPS. My init script makes sure that the usbfs is up (by checking for the existence of /proc/bus/usb/devices), and I can't think of what else could be different with the boot-time failure versus the manual startup after logging in.
