usb support kernel changes
I have disabled all usb support in my kernel on todays cvs of -stable,
and to my surprise i saw it load automatically as a kernel module;
# kldstat
Id Refs Address Size Name
1 4 0xc0400000 2cac68 kernel
2 1 0xc06cb000 628f4 acpi.ko
3 1 0xc318b000 1c000 usb.ko
This is new behavior indeed, how can i disable usb support as before?

cannot access samba server
I am rather at a loss as things seem to change by themselves on this
Vista machine.
Here's the setup: Vista client, FreeBSD 6.2 server with samba 3.0.25;
also a FreeBSD 4.11 machine (server) with samba 2.2.12
Vista connected to samba 3 with password and the machines were present
on the network. Then the machines would not show up on Vista at all;
they could be pinged and they could be

strange problem with ipfw and rc.conf
Hi all:
I have strange probelm with rc.conf. I set up ipfw
(compiled into kernel) on freebsd-5.4 and it doesn't
seem to load ipfw rulesets (it uses default ruleset
65335 locking out everything). I have to do "sh
/etc/ipfw.rules" in order to load the rulesets, once I
did that, I can access the box from remote locations
here is my rc.conf:
host# more /etc/rc.conf

traffic normalizer for ipfw?
Hi there,
Is there some way to configure ipfw to do traffic
normalizing ("scrubbing", as in ipf for OpenBSD)? Is
there any tool to do it for FreeBSD firewalling?
I've heard that ipf was ported on current, anything
else?
TIA,
/Dorin.
