7.1-stable (righ after release) locks up on soekris net5501 every day

Only way to un-freeze it is cold reboot. I've thought, it is

We use a DIGITUS USB2Serial Converter (Prolific based USBID: VID:067B PID:2303) and then screen /dev/DEVICE 115200 -- LF

Unfortunately it is not very long, so having a USB extender cable i connected the serial cable to the UPS and the USB2serial converter and then the extender cable and into my server.

Strange battery power shortage on an Unitek iZi UPS 525
...but I'm willing to hear other opinions... 3. Somehow the newer version of nut fails to correctly read/interpret the values from the UPS and decides to shut down earlier. 4. ... any other ideas? Oh, since I no longer have the external DB9 connector for this motherboard I've resorted to a USB2Serial from "Sandberg". Apparently nut doesn't seem to care if the port is ttyS0 or ttyUSB0... PS. I've also replaced the case; can this be the reason? :-]

how normal is this temporary power loss for a single UPS?
Hi Occasionally I get emails from my NUT system saying that one of my UPSes lost power for about a minute. Losing power: Date: 15. nov 2010 17.40.25 CET regaining power: Date: 15. nov 2010 17.41.34 CET 69 seconds later. But why? None of the 3 other UPSes reports any power loss. What is the problem? So I made some scripts that logs the input, output and frequency at the time of power loss,

HP R1500 G2 UPS
Hi, I have a HP R1500 G2 UPS and want to get it working under Debian Lenny - as this OS is not supported by HP I'm trying to use nut for it - but I can't get it working. Do I have any chance to get the UPS running with nut. I also tried different drivers but had no luck either. Or does anyone has experience with HP UPS under debian ? Any help would be nice ! I tried /lib/nut/usbhid-ups
