Icecast Logging
I have some questions about Icecast logging... How close is Icecast logging to the Apache logging format? Can you customize the output options like Apache? We've used several tools to process our Icecast logs in the past, including Webalizer and Urchin. Urchin seems to report some slightly erroneous data. What have others used for processing Icecast's access.log file? Hunter --- >8

rake errors - not as helpful as they could be
hi list - i recently attempted to run rake for a first pass at some tests and ran into a mysterious failure. rake indicated that it had aborted running the tests but provided little information on exactly why this occurred. the only bit of information it did offer was that i could use --trace for a full trace. of course i did that hoping it would provide more detail, but it didn''t help a

Samba 3 Unix Password Sync
Working with my first Samba PDC using samba 3.0.3 on FreeBSD 5.2.1. Single subnet, handful of win2k and winxp boxes fully patched. Everything is working fine except the password sync. What do I have to add to samba (or windows) to set it up so when someone changes their password on Windows it updates the passwd and smbpasswd files automatically? Thanks.

Does "sink" stand for anything?
Hello Everyone,   Learning about R and its wonderful array of functions. If it's not obvious, I usually try to find out what a function stands for. I think this helps me remember better.   One function that has me stumped is "sink." Can anyone tell me if this stands for something?   Thanks,   Paul         __________________________________________________ [[alternative HTML

Problem logging in after upgrade to 4.8-Stable
I upgraded two 4.7 machines yesterday to 4.8-stable and now normal users can't login (both at the console and ssh). Root logs in okay. I created a new user and that works. However, the first server I upgraded to 4.8 hasn't had the same problems. I changed my personal password as root on one of the problem servers and then I was able to login. Did something change in the password
