freebsd stable - Apr 2003 - make buildworld error

I am trying to compile the FreeBSD4.8-STABLE and I gave the following error: 

make: don't know how to make /usr/obj/usr/src/i386/usr/lib/libssh.a. Stop
*** Error code 2

they alguem knows what it can be?

I had not made nothing in make.conf before compilation of the system, now I only
added the line NO_OPENSSH = true, and compilation got success, but, thankz for
the help! =)

Show me your /etc/make.conf.  Also, please provide a context
(buildworld stage, surrounding lines) that this error occurs
at.
