Problem with numerical integration and optimization with BFGS
...found in the code below)
My problem is the following: when I try to maximize the log-likelihood
function using "optim" with method "BFGS", I get the following error
message (about the second integral):
> out <- optim(alpha.start, LLK, gr=NULL, method="BFGS", y=urate$y)
Error in integrate(f3, lower = -Inf, upper = upr2) :
the integral is probably divergent
Since I know that all the three integrals are convergent, I do not
understand why I am getting this error message. My first question: can
someone explain what mistake I am making?

misdn problem
I am trying to use misdn insted of zaphfc to drive two billion isdn cards
zaphfc is ok, but the problem with cdr and the fact tha you always have to
wait the bristuffed version of asterisk took me to
try another way.
so I downloaded the misdn installation script from beronet for the last
version ( I am using asterisk stable 1.2, so now is 1.2.5)

SAY command (mis)behaviour?

Indeed, "SAY" is a "global" directive, not a "per-label" directive.
This is also how it is listed in the "table of contents" of the
"Config(uration)" wiki page, under "GLOBAL DIRECTIVES - SECONDARY".
See:
https://www.syslinux.org/wiki/index.php/Config#toc
(please note that there is additional general info before the TOC (up)
in that page).
There are several ways to circumvent this limitation, but any of those
could be...

SAY command (mis)behaviour?
Hi,
I have a small issue with the SAY command and i hope you can clarify
it out for me.
I boot my system with the attached extlinux.conf, which has some
entries to boot old kernels. When i'm booting the old versions i'd
like to have a reminder message recalling me that the most recent
kernel is not being used, so that i don't forget to switch back to it,
for example after many days of

we've had some findings with Emilien in the meantime.
He's currently checking for a clean fix, so I'll let him describe the issue
and the possible fix.
