Hi, Today I've succeded in compiling the llvm-tools, llvm-gcc and stacker frontend and in installing it. Uptill now I've followed the steps given in: http://llvm.cs.uiuc.edu/docs/CFEBuildInstrs.html with modifications for the mingw platform. I'll return with step-by-step instructions how to do it on this platform. Cheers Henrik :) =============================================================...

Why are dots in username & groupname no longer allowed?
For some strange reason I am no longer able to create groupnames or usernames (with useradd and groupadd) that contain a dot. Uptill now it was possible to create user&groupnames like c.smith but now I get these errors: [root at server etc]# useradd c.smith useradd: invalid user name 'c.smith' [root at server1 etc]# groupadd c.smith groupadd: c.smith is a not a valid group name Anything without a dot works with...

variation on vioplot?
...could give me any tips on how to do what I want. I have nine groups of values, each group containing two sets of numbers which show the difference between two values, such as this: Start dev Stop dev -1 10 5 -2 0 -4 and so on. This has uptil now been shown as vioplots with start deviation above the other, and I have had three groups within each vioplot. I would now like to have these two next to each other, each with their own zero point. Does anybody have any tips on how to achieve this? Any help much appreciated. Karin -- Karin L...

[LLVMdev] Problems with 'make check'

Aaron, Please note that the path is (purposefully) not used to locate test executables. Many of us have many LLVM environments and using the path leads to confusion.

Print 128 bit value at runtime using printf
Hi, I was trying to print out a 128 bit result at runtime using a call to printf in LLVM. I am able to print 32 uptil 64 bit integers using the format string "%d" in printf . Please see the code in red below , as I am having a bit difficulty in trying to print the 128 bit value computed at runtime. The code in red is never executed since the value may never be casted to a ConstantInt. ( I saw this a...

Getting smbpasswd file to work alongside unencrypted ones
We operate a samba('18p10) server accessed by WIN3.11, 9x & NT4 clients, security=share. Uptil now, the NT clients have been pre service pack 3 & therefore sent cleartext passwords. Post-SP3 we need to enable encrypted passwords for the NT clients whilst preserving cleartext for the rest. For various (political) reasons, we cant' get the clients to use the registry hack to re-enable...

[LLVMdev] Files to lib/System/Win32
...win. With the experiences from the Interix port, I realised, that a port to Native Win32 will be a long a painfull process that should/has to be divided up in smaller steps than one giant leap. I started again looking on other unix like windows platforms and came across MinGW. As far as I know uptil now (correct me, if I'm wrong) supports MinGW truely the Win32 API through their own port of gcc and header files. Furthermore, MinGW is POSIX.1 compatible at the source code level and MSYS command shell. In this respect, MinGW seems to be another unix like system, but it generates truely s...

Have you read http://llvm.org/docs/WritingAnLLVMBackend.html and http://llvm.org/docs/CodeGenerator.html ? http://llvm.org/docs/WritingAnLLVMBackend.html#instruction-selector describes how to define a store instruction. -Eli On 7/6/2017 6:51 PM, hameeza ahmed via llvm-dev wrote: > Please correct me i m stuck at this point. > > On Jul 6, 2017 5:18 PM, "hameeza ahmed"
