How to find out the output of "upsc" for each UPS model supported by NUT ?
...e major functionalities I would assess, is the support is has by NUT. We have the http://www.networkupstools.org/stable-hcl.html page, where we can see if a UPS is supported, and what the level is. But I would really like to have more knowledge. I would like to know how the output from the "upsc" looks, so I know what values I will get from the UPS using NUT. For example, does the UPS report "time left on battery", "time to charge", "ups.load", "date and time" etc, etc. I think it would be nice to have a web page (somewhere, I do not know wh...

Hello all, Here's a PR I want to ask community about: should NUT clients like upsc report (log!) or hide the infamous 'Init SSL without certificate database' message? On one hand, it is a reminder that the setup is insecure (plaintext protocol, might be in an externally provided tunnel but we don't know that). On another, it is fairly annoying and if it does clutte...

SNMP/management front-ends
...ely it doesn't work with openSUSE 10.2 (the software has problems with the serial port and UPS interfaces on openSUSE 10.2), so I've been looking at other options. I see that openSUSE 10.2 includes NUT, and it appears to work with my TrippLite UPS via the USB driver (thanks!). It looks like upsc is reporting most of the data, although it's missing a couple of things like battery charge, and the ability to control the four independent loads. Successful use of nut will also depend on my ability to monitor the systems via SNMP and Cacti, and that seems to be a bit of a hole at the moment...

Eaton-9130 (usbhid-ups) no battery.voltage parameter!
My windows version is 2.6.5-3, latest on NUT site. "upsc ups" shows many ups parameters such as ups.load, battery.charge etc. but there is no battery.voltage, which I need (ups - is the name of my device in config). If I load driver usbhid-ups in debug mode (-DD), I see something like Ups.summary.bla-bla (sorry, don't remember exactly it's...

upsc "Error: ... Can't assign requested address"
Hello there. I've just install nut 2.2 from source on my FreeBSD box. I have an MGE AVR 600 UPS on a USB cable. Following the INSTALL instructions, everything works in term of the USB driver detecting the right UPS and upsd loads up and runs without error. However, upsc reports the following error: # upsc mge600 at localhost Error: Connection failure:Can't assign requested address I was having this trouble with the FBSD ports version of nut v2.0.4, hence the source build of 2.2. Whilst other things are working much better with 2.2 (like the upsd driver...
