The new Linux IGD support
Hello Tom,
I tried the new UPnP support of shorewall, olny to stumble upon a
LinuxIGD bug. Specificaly, the UPnP chain is read as UPn from the
upnpd.conf . I double checked it, there some bug in the upnpd, it
doesn''t process 4 lettered names correctly. Could you change this
chains'' name to something a little longer?

logcheck doesn't ignore messages matched by egrep -f
Hello,
I have this message in syslog that I'd like to ignore:
===
Apr 5 15:31:37 server77 upnpd[11728]: TimerThreadRemove failed!
===
I use these rules to ignore it in a file located in ignore.d.server
(which contains some other rules which work):
===

Multiple WAN + Multiple LAN + linux-igd
...a bridge).
- Linux IGD
I have successfully implemented de 2 first steps, the adsl balanced fine
(multipath routing), and the clients bridge fine.
My problem is how to use that with linux-igd.
My LAN bridge has STP and is implemented for high availibility, its
working fine (and tested). I run upnpd with one wan iface as WAN iface and
the bridge one as LAN iface and is working fine over that iface.
All my public IPs are static, and I think I have only to put all my wan
ifaces in the same bridge, but I don''t know if multipath routing will work
as now.
I have no problem in configure a...

Upnp ( linux-igd) on bering
...seems to be the missing piece...
I used the ideas from www.wix.net.nz/LEAF/glibc.html to build a leaf cd using the redhat 7.3 glibc
( It''s alot easier to test applications because I can simply copy the binary ( and the .so) on the bering machine.
I managed to compile the upnp sdk and the upnpd daemon and make it run on the leaf....
My question is..
Is there somebody already working on that ?
How should I configure shorewall to let upnpd works... I don''t see any packet drop in the log files..
Thanks in advance

rules with multiple users/groups
Hi All,
I''m using shorewall 4.0.15-1 on debian 5.0.5 and It works fine.
I want to start using rules based on users. This is supported in the
shorewall-rules file, However it seems that each rule can only be
associated with one user or group.
Does this mean that I cannot have a rule apply to several users which
belong to several groups?
Will creating duplicate rules for each user

Shorewall 2.2.4
...''ve
tried.
Building and installing linux-igd is not for the faint of heart.
You must download the source from CVS and be prepared to do
quite a bit of fiddling with the include files from libupnp
(which is required to build and/or run linux-igd).
Configuring linux-igd:
In /etc/upnpd.conf, you will want:
insert_forward_rules = yes
prerouting_chain_name = UPnP
forward_chain_name = forwardUPnP
Shorewall Configuration:
In /etc/shorewall/interfaces, you need the ''upnp'' option on your
external interface.
If your...
