So I'm making HQ videos of gaming on linux, got any feedback
So I've got some experience with wine, some experience recording, and a brand new gaming rig. I'm putting them to use making some gaming videos.
I've already uploaded Crysis (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_X7qrIABig), Crysis 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sVS_x7F844&feature=g-upl), Deus Ex HR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozPbCxIJejc), and the first GW2 beta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-g6smwwtSEo), all at max settings.

Inaccurate results without natting the traffic.
Hi folks.
For quite a while, I tried to use linux (cbq and htb) to control
bandwidth in order to replace a cisco equipment used to play this role
on our network.
After trying here and there, with a bunch of different distros,
different versions, different compilations, ... the closest I could
get was as follows:
(using htb.init and cbq.init)
Desired BW ==> Achieved BW
128k ==> 404.78

Profile loading/saving on gigabit network only runs at fast ethernet speeds! Help!
...copy the VM back and forth
every time they wanted to use it (although much faster than the logon/logoff
speeds).
Let me elaborate: I have done speed tests transferring files and directories
directly to writable shares. I have monitored the network speeds with iptraf
on
the server while downloading/uploading a 1 GB or file or large directory on
the
relevant interface (there are 4 local interfaces) and these are my
approximate
results:
DL from Samba Share: 300,000 - 400,000 kb/s
UPL to Samba Share: 300,000 - 400,000 kb/s
These speeds are GREAT! I was blown away! -- But then take a look at the

Dungeon Keeper
Hello,
Has anyone ever gotten Dungeon Keeper to successfully run under wine?
I'm a newbie to wine, but I managed to get it installed and configured to
the point of where it would install the game off the cd-rom.
I'm using:
Wine release 20010629
And I've added the usual WinMM section to the config file.
Here is what wine told me when I installed the game:
Linux black > wine

no luck with Xen....
Perhaps someone has ideas on this topic, a recent attempt to play with Xen was a reather unlucky event, all what I will be able to demonstrate on that system is a PV ONNV domU which
ikely will not be very attractive to the audience :(
HW: U40M2, 2 x 2 core AMD revF procs, 8GB MEM, Phonix BIOS 1.5 (latest)
1 x 200GB internal SATA drive
SW: dom0 ONNV build 82, latest VirtManager from

HTB Weird Shaping Question(Bug?). Please Help!
Hi all,
I have a script that allocates an ADSL(1500K/256K) bandwidth to three
users.
My idea is to allow each user having a guarentee rate, while each one is
allowed to burst to the max rate while no one is using the bandwidth.
I use imq0 for uplink (for some mobility reason) and imq1 for downlink.
Everything works smoothly except for VoIP traffic.
There are three VoIP phones attached to a computer. They are set up for
different providers. It is possible that all of them are engaged at the
same time. And it does happen that all of them are...

There are no testparm errors.
I've added users with useradd and smbpasswd -a
I've added machines with useradd and smbpasswd -a -m
I can see the server in my network neighbourhood and access/browse folders on
