Unsolicited oplock breaks
...lly convinced that the problem is caused by the server, but may be the network. However, I've had a look at the log.smb file and I'm seeing some error messages that I've not come across before: [2001/02/23 18:20:40, 0] smbd/oplock.c:process_local_message(581) process_local_message: unsolicited oplock break reply from pid 23624, port 56684, dev = 2580006, inode = 3264116 [2001/02/23 18:20:40, 0] smbd/oplock.c:process_local_message(566) process_local_message: Received unsolicited break reply - dumping info. unsolicited NOTIFY messages from Asterisk
hi, i am getting unsolicited NOTIFY messages from Asterisk after the subscription. Is this type of NOTIFY messages is supported in any of the RFCs..? Because, the SIP stack with 3265 compliance, does not support any such NOTIFY messages and discarding those. I need the justification for this kind of NOTIFY messages sent by...

Receiving and processing unsolicited XMPP messages with Asterisk 11
I'm trying to set up a way that our users can send an XMPP message to Asterisk (unsolicited) to request information, such as voicemail status or the like. No matter what I set for the dialplan, I'm only seeing Asterisk execute the s,1 priority in the context defined in xmpp.conf for incoming messages, and then the "call" hangs up without executing further instructions. A...

Gratuitous/unsolicited ARP
hi. for domain migration, this is an obvious procedure in order to announce the relocation of the guest being bridged on a different host. i''ve been grepping around the xen build tree to see whether and where this is covered. haven''t found anything yet. is this covered by linux kernel bridging already, or is it just missing [read: left as a scripting exercise to

XMPP sendtodialplan
I've been working on an interactive XMPP interface so users at my office can interact with the timeclock and queues by XMPP (in addition to IVR menu, which has been running just fine for quite a while before the XMPP interface). I'm using sendtodialplan=yes to handling the incoming unsolicited messages, and typically will have at least one point of interaction where Asterisk requests authentication from the user and then waits with XMPP_RECEIVE for the response. Asterisk then processes the reply and finishes out the "call" as expected, no problems there. However, I'm se...

Asterisk 13 MWI
I am still a little confused about how to activate MWI with PJSIP on Asterisk 13.9.1. I use realtime for configuration. So far I have tried setting both the mailboxes field on ps_endpoints and the mailboxes field in ps_aors but I cannot get the indicator lamp to blink on any of my phones (Digium, Aastra and Yealink). I have tried just the number of the mailbox and also adding the context.

Windows Remote Assistance fails
I attempted to set up unsolicited remote assistance via group policy, but connections to the client machines fail. A network trace show the 'expert' machine doing a TGS-REQ to the DC which responds with a KRB5KDC_ERR_POLICY. This seems to be the origin of the problem. I noticed in the request, the username of the 'n...

MGE Pulsar Ellipse 800 off early or box shutdown late
...I realized this and forget this setting! For now I think that my box does not recognize signal about low battery - I'm only started to read SHUT protocoll of MGE, and do not understand that is this signal a result of some kind of status request from my box to UPS or UPS send this signal "unsolicited" - I supose the last idea! May be I need higher POLLFREQ on "ONBATTRY" situation - about 1..2 sec?! I'm affraid because packet if I will higher pollfreq, the possibility of collision is also higher! - what mean if ups sending unsolicited "LOW BATTERY" packet communica...

[OT] odd network question
...wanted to host some infrastructure in our data centre, the network admin there wanted a specific configuration for outbound source NAT from a certain host that would scroll through a list of source NAT IP addresses (think a whole /24) for every connection attempt, pretty sure it was for sending unsolicited emails, in any case the association with that company didn't last and I took redundancy after less than a year there.
