Winbind, cached logons and 'user persistency'...
I've noted that some weeks ago, but i was upgrading all my PVE cluster
so i've considered it benevolent.
Yesterday i've updated my main switch, disconnecting for a brief lag of
time all my ''infrastructutes''.
My SMTP server (exim) start to complain about 'unroutable addresses':

Winbind, cached logons and 'user persistency'...
Sorry. Still on this issue.
Today i'm upgrading my DC (with latest 4.5 from louis repo). Note that
i've 7 DC in total.
In site 'PP' i've upgraded samba, then rebooted the container. reboot

at '14:00:30' bind, ntp and (i suppose) samba was stared.

FTP DNAT not working - "Server sent passive reply with unroutable address"
Hi all!
I am a long time lurker, but have not posted until now.
My old trusted firewall machine broke a couple of weeks ago and I replaced it
with a XEN domU that is using DNAT and has two interfaces. The firewall domU and
the FTP server domU are both guests on the same dom0. All three machines are
running Debian/etch (stable) and Shorewall has version 3.2.6.
I can''t get FTP to work

Not receiving root mail
Although I have the alias defined in /etc/aliases and /etc/postfix/aliases,
I'm not receiving root mail. Following the previous thread about unreceived
logwatch mail, I tested with a manual run of logwatch, and found that my ISP
is rejecting the mail because it is seeing an envelope carrying my local
address. My suspicion is that the mail is going out via sendmail instead of

Public IP issues
I have had Shorewall 2.0.8 up and running for a month or so. Now I need
to change some things around. Currently I am running on a private IP
scheme and Shorewall is setup based on the 3 interface guide. Now I want
to change to a public scheme on my "loc" zone. I have a /24 block of
public IP''s. I need my private scheme and public to co-exist so I
currently have is eth1 (local)

No, still glitches for exim/winbind...
No, i don't think this is a configuration error by mine, and still
seems that ''something'' in winbind does not work properly, or at least
in respect to exim.
This late evening i've rebooted all my servers in a site (2DM, 2DC; DM
samba 4.8, DC samba 4.5).
I've firstly rebooted the DM (where one of these is the mail server),
after that, and after verify that all work

Problem with openvpn and tun interface
I'm scratching my head here a little. And my post to the openvpn mailing
list is not getting any attention.
I have an openvpn server working with Windows clients and I thought I'd
try to get a client config on a CentOS box running. The client is a
minimal install of CentOS and I like to use shorewall (3.2.x). I've
tried to run the vpn client with the fw off and on with no change.

DID not working? + sendmail problems
I have a box running *@Home 1.0 and I noticed today when I went to
change some settings to do with the DID's that it is no longer detecting
the different lines.
I have a Digium 4 port line card and Im pretty sure that the DID's used
to work when I used fxs_ks signaling on them. However I changed to
fxs_ls signaling because the ks wasn't detecting when people were
hanging up properly.

Backup Route
Hi there.
I''ve two Internet connections at the same box, one connection is
made through ADSL, and another is made with a Radio-Link (WaveLAN
IE822).
I wan''t to do a backup connection with the ADSL link.
With what tools I can do this?
ipchains, iptables, a third party tool?

Where did my DID's go??
Okay, first a little background - I've been with Packet8 since a month
after they started. I found that we were outgrowing their services
and decided to move to an asterisk box in the office. I found a
service provider that offered me a reasonable rate. After a fair
ammount of testing I decided to stick with their services and port my
3 primary DID's from Packet8 to the new service.

CentOS 5.7 eth0, eth1 and arpwatch flip flops
Dear all,
Has anyone experienced this whilst running DRBD over eth1 between two
CentOS 5.7 servers?
eth1 is a private IP address, unroutable. eth0 is the public address.
CentOS will reply sometimes once every 3 days or every 14mins~ saying
"My public IP is on eth1" to arp requests when it's not, it's eth0.
This freezes traffic and causes issues. We've looked at arp*

Problem with FreeSwan and Shorewall on a LEAF(Oxygen) based router.
...er zones.
They do however do IP Masq, where we actually have a Class C assigned
to us (What can I say, I got it before they locked down :-) I believe that
the masking is where my problem is..
The tunnel looks good when running the ipsec look command on both
sides. When I ping/telnet to a "unrouted" IP for a machine on the other
end, I see the ifconfig -ni RX-OK go up on the ipsec0 interface, and the
TX-DROP also go up.. I''ve looked for what causes this, all I can come
up with, is that the Masking is happening before it sends the traffic out
the ipsec0 interface back to our loc...

help debugging an error

the controller method does not get triggered. It happens on a form
submission. I can make changes to the object model from with the console,
but not on this form submission. I thought maybe it was routing, because I
have routing in place on this method, but if I go to the unrouted url, I
still get the same error message.
So, on a form submission, I get the following error: (it is not the regular
rails error message, but a un-formatted error message)

Winbind, cached logons and 'user persistency'...
Hai Marco,
Maybe the winbind cache time is set to low for this.
