Winbind, cached logons and 'user persistency'...
I've noted that some weeks ago, but i was upgrading all my PVE cluster
so i've considered it benevolent.
Yesterday i've updated my main switch, disconnecting for a brief lag of
time all my ''infrastructutes''.
My SMTP server (exim) start to complain about 'unroutable addresses':

Winbind, cached logons and 'user persistency'...
Sorry. Still on this issue.
Today i'm upgrading my DC (with latest 4.5 from louis repo). Note that
i've 7 DC in total.
In site 'PP' i've upgraded samba, then rebooted the container. reboot

FTP DNAT not working - "Server sent passive reply with unroutable address"
...FTP server domU are both guests on the same dom0. All three machines are
running Debian/etch (stable) and Shorewall has version 3.2.6.
I can''t get FTP to work and Filezilla says:
Response: 227 Entering Passive Mode (192,168,221,239,19)
Status: Server sent passive reply with unroutable address. Using
server address instead.
I cannot understand why the FTP servers private address is leaked since the
modules ip_nat_ftp and ip_conntrack_ftp are loaded. The FTP rule is "FTP/DNAT
net loc:192.168.221.3".
In the attached status file I have connected from "213.11...

I have a TMD400 card installed in a PC with one fxs (installed in slot
2) and two fxos (installed in slots 3 & 4).? fxos work fine but I am
unable to get a dial tone for any devices connected to the fxs.? I
have correctly connected the power supply to the card and I have even
tried moving the card from slot 1 to 2 on the board.
Below is from the console when I try to route a call from FXO on

Not receiving root mail
Although I have the alias defined in /etc/aliases and /etc/postfix/aliases,
I'm not receiving root mail. Following the previous thread about unreceived
logwatch mail, I tested with a manual run of logwatch, and found that my ISP
is rejecting the mail because it is seeing an envelope carrying my local
address. My suspicion is that the mail is going out via sendmail instead of

Public IP issues
I have had Shorewall 2.0.8 up and running for a month or so. Now I need
to change some things around. Currently I am running on a private IP
scheme and Shorewall is setup based on the 3 interface guide. Now I want
to change to a public scheme on my "loc" zone. I have a /24 block of
public IP''s. I need my private scheme and public to co-exist so I
currently have is eth1 (local)

No, still glitches for exim/winbind...
No, i don't think this is a configuration error by mine, and still
seems that ''something'' in winbind does not work properly, or at least
in respect to exim.
This late evening i've rebooted all my servers in a site (2DM, 2DC; DM
samba 4.8, DC samba 4.5).
I've firstly rebooted the DM (where one of these is the mail server),
after that, and after verify that all work

Problem with openvpn and tun interface
...ything on the vpn net or the
internal net. As near as I can tell no options are being pushed and the
tun interface is not being set up. Running an ifconfig does not show the
interface (it does show up on the server).
The log is being spammed by this:

I have the same options in my client config as I do on windows...

DID not working? + sendmail problems
I have a box running *@Home 1.0 and I noticed today when I went to
change some settings to do with the DID's that it is no longer detecting
the different lines.
I have a Digium 4 port line card and Im pretty sure that the DID's used
to work when I used fxs_ks signaling on them. However I changed to
fxs_ls signaling because the ks wasn't detecting when people were
hanging up properly.

Backup Route
Hi there.
I''ve two Internet connections at the same box, one connection is
made through ADSL, and another is made with a Radio-Link (WaveLAN
IE822).
I wan''t to do a backup connection with the ADSL link.
With what tools I can do this?
ipchains, iptables, a third party tool?

Where did my DID's go??
Okay, first a little background - I've been with Packet8 since a month
after they started. I found that we were outgrowing their services
and decided to move to an asterisk box in the office. I found a
service provider that offered me a reasonable rate. After a fair
ammount of testing I decided to stick with their services and port my
3 primary DID's from Packet8 to the new service.

CentOS 5.7 eth0, eth1 and arpwatch flip flops
Dear all,
Has anyone experienced this whilst running DRBD over eth1 between two
CentOS 5.7 servers?
eth1 is a private IP address, unroutable. eth0 is the public address.
CentOS will reply sometimes once every 3 days or every 14mins~ saying
"My public IP is on eth1" to arp requests when it's not, it's eth0.
This freezes traffic and causes issues. We've looked at arp*
/etc/sysctl.conf etc. and arptables, but wondere...

Problem with FreeSwan and Shorewall on a LEAF(Oxygen) based router.
Hello,
I seem to have the Freeswan IPSEC tunnel working between my two sites,
but I am still having a problem that looks to be because of something I have
configured wrong in my shorewall setup..
I have a LEAF Oxygen < 1.9 heavily modifed firewall setup.. Using
FreeSwan 1.91, and Kernel 2.4.8. Modified to use IPTables and
standard Debian network/interfaces. I am also using Shorewall

Incoming SIP and the 's' extension
Hello, all. My apologies up front but I must be brain cramping on
something very simple. I've tried to pare down my configuration to the
absolute minimum for SIP traffic just to understand how it works. My
incoming calls are not finding the "s" extension in my dial-plan. I am
assuming SIP calls can do this. I am using Asterisk 1.6.1.1
sip.conf has nothing but:

Echo() app doesn't work
Hello list,
New to asterisk and to the list (although experienced in Unix/Linux
administration).
Short problem description:
--------------------------
I cannot get the Echo() application to run on any 32bit platform I can get my
hands on. In contrast, the only 64-bit (amd64 aka x86_64) setup that I have
runs just fine. In all cases asterisk log shows the same -- that Echo() is
executed

help debugging an error
Hi, I''ve started getting an error I can''t debug. The error doesn''t generate
anything in my development log. A breakpoint set right at the beggining of
the controller method does not get triggered. It happens on a form
submission. I can make changes to the object model from with the console,
but not on this form submission. I thought maybe it was routing, because I
have
