getting a vector of unown size
Hi all! I have written some code in C for simulating the fate of population using a dll loaded in R. During this simulation the population may go extinct such that the length of its trajectory is unknown beforehand. I wonder there is a way to define the size of the result in C and make it known to R to get the vector appropriately. I have defined the output size very much larger than

[LLVMdev] More code owners needed
...that doesn't already have one. The responsibilities of a code owner include reviewing patches submitted to llvm-commits and approving merge requests to the stable branches. To get the ball rolling, I'm going to start nominating new code owners whenever I get a stable merge request for an unowned component. I'm going to try to determine the best code owner based on git history. If I nominate you, there is no obligation to accept. Feel free to decline or nominate someone else. Thanks, Tom

Possible Memory Savings for tools emitting large amounts of existing data through MC
...and might not be such a bad choice, but it would be adding a lot of machinery for a very specific task that MC already needs to know how to do in a roughly target-independent way, so maybe it would be overkill. I reckon that in most cases MC clients aren't going to be copying large amounts of unowned data, they're most likely going to be creating that data. So perhaps the implementation should reflect that somehow. Specifically what I had in mind was that you could add some other derived class of MCFragment that would store a StringRef (or maybe a vector of StringRefs if that proves usef...

[LLVMdev] New type of smart pointer for LLVM
[+cfe-dev] This conversation has already been happening on llvm-dev so there's no good way for me to capture the entire existing discussion (so I'm jumping you in part-way) & the subject line could be more descriptive, but I wanted to add Clang developers since many of the interesting cases of conditional ownership I've seen were in Clang. I know some of you are also on llvm-dev

Unless in exec doesn''t seem to be honored on notify.
This was a fun one to track down... I was trying to use the append_if_no_such_line script from the wiki and it was working fine EXCEPT when I threw a notify at it. The notify appears to completely ignore both unless and onlyif within the exec for some reason. If I put the same test in the actual command line, it works fine. Example: unless => "/bin/grep -Fqe ''$line''

[PATCH] v2v: Fix RPM file owned test (RHBZ#1503958).
Linux.file_owner is not used by any other function, so remove it. Linux.is_file_owned is only used when removing kmod-xenpv on old RHEL releases, and so is only required to work for RPM. The old file_owner/is_file_owned functions were completely broken. This replaces them with a simpler, working implementation that only covers the narrow use case of removing kmod-xenpv non-owned directories.

I just recently upgraded to opensuse 11.4. basic smbd is running mostly fine (some name res-errors, login server missing, (can't connect to Domain service). Notably nmbd won't start due to undefined symbols: /usr/sbin/nmbd: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/nmbd: undefined symbol: _talloc_realloc_array. ldd -r shows a bunch of similar undefined symbols (shown further below). my samba rpm
