[Bridge] [PATCHv4 net-next 0/2] Add two new flags to bridge.
The following series adds 2 new flags to bridge. One flag allows the user to control whether mac learning is performed on the interface or not. By default mac learning is on. The other flag allows the user to control whether unicast traffic is flooded (send without an fdb) to a given unicast port. Default is on. Changes since v4: - Implemented Stephen's suggestions. Changes since v2: - removed unused "unlock" tag. Changes since v1: - Integrated suggestion from MST to not impact RTM_NEWNEIGH and to skip...

So tried to use the mcast tunnel mode. I keep getting duplicate packets with B...

iproute2: gatewayed routes in ancillary tables
Hello all, Tomas Bonnedahl and I recently corresponded about a rather odd behaviour with routes in ancillary routing tables. We both receive a "Network is unreachable" error when we try to add gatewayed routes to ancillary tables and the main routing table does not contain an entry for the gateway IP. It seems that unless a route to the gateway IP exists in the main routing table, I

WINS server (nmbd) puzzle
...ws NETBIOS name. I'm distributing the WINS server address via DHCP and see it on the client using "ipconfig /all". I can run tcpdump on the server (filtering for this client and the NETBIOS port) and see the register/response sequence at UDP 137: MULTIHOMED REGISTRATION; REQUEST; UNICAST REGISTRATION; POSITIVE; RESPONSE; UNICAST REGISTRATION; REQUEST; UNICAST REGISTRATION; POSITIVE; RESPONSE; UNICAST If I signal the nmbd process with SIGHUP to make it dump its table to nmbd.log, I don't see client in the list. I do see the server and my Windows Active Directory server's...

WINS unicast name restration storm
We recently migrated to an active directory controlled domain with the old linux pdc becoming just a member of the new domain. It previously had served as the WINS server. The WINS server settings update was missed on a few printers and these printers continued sending unicast name registration requests to the linux server. With over 300 requests per second being sent from these printers, it came close to a denial of service attack. Also, every one of these requests was logged in /var/log/messages as follows: "Aug 11 23:40:01 alpha2 nmbd[8840]: process_name_regist...

So configuration: NT----PPTP---NT/RAS-----Linux 7 Any experience with this type of config? Quick test shows the samba host but when I try to access it the network path is not found. Thanks! ++Dirk
