I have a setup where I am running on a machine with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Release 3. I have a userland program that is attempting to attach to libipq. When I issue the ''iptables -A OUTPUT -t mangle -j QUEUE'' command to attach, the machine hangs. The only way to unhang the machine is to do a hard restart. All the machine''s filesystems are connected to an NFS server, including the /usr filesystem. So the OS is also running from the NFS server.
