samba3 and kerberos authentication of users
Hi all,
this is probably VFAQ, but I never found a working solution. I have a
standalone samba server running samba ver. 3. In the network, we have
heimdal kerberos used to authenticate users for pop3,imap,web-based
applications etc. Now I would like to make the samba communicating with
kerberos kdc so there will no longer be users in smbpasswd with separate
passwords outside of kerberos.

Two samba servers in one win domain

On samba no.1 I created user technik$ (is in v /etc/passwd). And by
command:
smbpasswd -a -m technik
I added trusted account (for NT user) into smbpasswd ( is in
/etc/samba/passwd).
On samba no.2 I stopped both daemons and ran a command :
smbpasswd -j skupina -r main
And Unfotunatelly I received a message :
Unable to join domain HLAVNI
When I tried to connect to server technik from subnet connected to
server samba no.1(via command net use ...), I received a message :
The computer name specified in the network path cannot be located ...
