request for clarification on Asterisk T.38 bounty
The bounty stands at $5,500. I'm seriously considering taking a shot
at it if I can find a decent T.38 provider to test with (I'm still
hoping for reliable PAYG T.38).
It looks like a lot of very smart people have done a lot of very hard
work (t38modem, spandsp) that would go towards getting this working.
At this point it appears to be mostly a matter of integration

[PATCH] Mending proposals for mkdiskimage
Hi,
this is the diff which i consider a halfways reasonable solution
for the following problems with mkdiskimage:
1. Ignoring option -s if the target file is not suitable for truncate().
2. Miscalculation of truncate() size by a factor of 512.
3. The storage capacity of device files can only be measured
for Linux block devices.
4. Long time of silent work when slow devices (e.g. USB

Nouveau on GeForce GTX 980M
Hi,
I was wondering is it possible to can get my GeForce GTX 980M work with
Nouveau. I see that the non "M" version if GTX 980 is supported (
https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/CodeNames/) but not the "M" version,
how different are they?
Now it uses Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe, from my understanding that's fallback
using the cpu right?

[RFC/PATCH v4] XENMEM_claim_pages (subop of existing) hypercall
This is a fourth cut of the hypervisor patch of the proposed
XENMEM_claim_pages hypercall/subop, taking into account
feedback from Jan and Keir and IanC, plus some fixes found
via runtime debugging (using privcmd only) and some
added comments/cleanup.
[Logistical note: I will be out tomorrow (Friday) plus US
holidays next week so my responsiveness to comments may be
slower for awhile. --djm]

.Call and to reclaim the memory by allocVector
Hi,
I am not sure if this is a bug and I apologize if it is something I
didn't read carefully in the R extension manual. My initial search on the
R help and R devel list archive didn't find useful information.
I am using .Call (as written in the R extension manual) for the C code
and have found that the .Call didn't release the memory claimed by
allocVector. Even after applying

isohybrid boot from logical partition
Hi,
i think i found the reason for the boot failure in the definition of
Extended Boot Records.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extended_boot_record#Values
"Starting sector = relative offset between this EBR sector and the
first sector of the logical partition.
Note: This is often the same value for each EBR on the same hard disk;
usually 63 for Windows XP or older."
So if

CD-Mount on CentOS-6.7
When I load a blank cd into the optical drive on my CentOS-6.7
workstation I am not getting any window or visible mount action on my
Gnome desktop. Formerly, when I mounted a writeable media in this
drive on this host I would see a nautilus style file browser window
open with inducements to add files.
When I visit /mnt I see nothing:

isohybrid boot from logical partition
Hi,
the description of wikipedia matches the behavior of fdisk. Statements
by hpa several years ago indicate that the relative start LBA of logical
partitions is indeed a troublemaker between GRUB and SYSLINUX.

Reset audio controller w/o rebooting?
As I mentioned on a thread about flash-plugin a few days ago, I'm
having trouble with my sound device getting "stuck" and thereby
causing problems for anything that accesses it, like video playback.
Rebooting the machine "fixes" it for a while, but it's unpredictable
for how long -- sometimes months go by without it recurring, sometimes
it happens every couple of days.
