During FTS reindexing, search commands unceremoniously exit
Is this intentional? running R in batch mode on Ubuntu
...g without the R commands contained in the batch file actually having finished running. We're running Bayesian models using R2jags jags.parallel and it ends during the jags run, so it might be something funky with that package, but am curious to know if the general issue of R process ending unceremoniously is anything anyone has run into. Thanks, Liz

...uff, depending on > how much inlining has happened. > > (I have a draft of the writer side, still working on the reader.) Teresa: I had trouble make this work with the delayed metadata parsing (the logic around "SeenModuleValuesRecord"). My WIP patch rips that out rather unceremoniously. My understanding from Mehdi is that maybe ThinLTO isn't currently relying on the delayed parsing. I.e., the original scheme was: - cherry-pick fun...

CIA biscuit

The leaders have never and very possibly will never "get" outsourcing. LogicaCMG has just been unceremoniously dumped by Dixons on a deal that Logica thought was in the bag. LogicaCMG has just been unceremoniously dumped by Dixons on a deal that Logica thought was in the bag. Many analysts say they simply have too many staff. Offshoring should be seem as an opportunity and not a threat. This, from an...

fatal: ssh_dispatch_run_fatal: Connection reset by peer [preauth]
Hello everybody, I have systemd set up to listen on ssh socket (:::22), the connection is handled to sshd via socket activation. Usually this works perfectly fine. However the service is checked from nagios. Sometimes the host logs: systemd[1]: Started OpenSSH Per-Connection Daemon ([::1]:60865). systemd[1]: Starting OpenSSH Per-Connection Daemon ([::1]:60865)... systemd[1]: Started OpenSSH

pbinom gotcha (PR#1569)
...pbinom(0.58*n + 1e-7,n,0.6) + dbinom(0.58*n,n,0.6) plot(n,Pr(n),type="b") abline(h=1000/1001) min(n[Pr(n)>1000/1001]) At least on Linux, you get quite different results. The reason is of course that > 0.58*6400-3712 [1] -4.547474e-13 and dbinom has a fuzz factor, but pbinom unceremoniously takes floor(x). I suppose we ought to build the same fuzz into pbinom? -- O__ ---- Peter Dalgaard Blegdamsvej 3 c/ /'_ --- Dept. of Biostatistics 2200 Cph. Selective --delete
...NOT delete those? Is there an equivalent exclude option for the --delete procedure so that it would still delete whatever got removed from the DEV machine, but it leaves those files I tell it to ignore? I have both individual files as well as entire paths that would need to be spared from getting unceremoniously deleted ... while others do need to get pruned if necessary (because they no longer exist on the DEV one.) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... btrfs balance fails with no space errors (despite having plenty)
...the `-dusage` flag (as suggested on the problem FAQ), which successfully balanced a handful of blocks. - Checked the system log - nothing interesting comes up. btrfs happily chugs along with "found xxx extents" and "relocating block group xxxxx flags 1" messages before unceremoniously ending with "7 enospc errors during balance". In spite of all of this, a full rebalance still fails when it's about 95% done. I'm at a complete loss as to what could be causing it - I know that it's not completely necessary (especially with a single drive), and `btrfs...

Socket behavior change from 6.5 to 6.6
...ket properly. > > Yes, that?s what happens when you use an OS that doesn?t implement sockets in kernel space: there is no program still running that can send the RST packet for the dead socket. That said, your Linux/Python side code shouldn?t be relying on the RST anyway. A power blip that unceremoniously reboots the DOS box will also skip the RST. That happens with *all* TCP stacks, even in-kernel ones. True war story, seen on devices from multiple vendors: The setup: An embedded system has a TCP listener. Some network problem [*] causes packet loss for an extended period, causing an esta...

using broadvoice and vonage hardware with Asterisk
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Greetings, I've just about got Asterisk up and running and am wondering the following. Currently, I subscribe to both Vonage and Broadvoice and as such, I've got a Sipura and Cisco ATA186. Although I'm sure this is expressly prohibited somewhere in my service agreements, can I reprogram these devices to access my own asterisk server rather than
