OK, it seems to be an authentication issue. At least w.r.t. the member server.
When I add the user name, it does ask me for the password and succeeds.
I don't see any difference when using IP numbers instead of host names.

Routing: How do I use what is left from an URL
Hi,
I have this scenario. I have the full path of a page stored in the
database (column ''path''). I want to be able to have very short urls for
retrieving the pages, so i have this route in my map
map.connect ''-/:title'', :controller => ''page'',
:action => ''view_by_title'', :title => nil

winbind does not list users from trusted domain
Hello all.
I've set up a testing environment with two Windows DCs. The first,
called DCA, is serving the domain DOMA and is running Windows 2003. The
second is called DCB and serves DOMB on Windows 2008.
The Samba machine I'm setting up (named ULYSSES) should be able to
authenticate users from both domains for shell login. I've installed
Samba 3.2.3 as a Debian package and closely followed the fine Howto by
Michael Battista
(http://www.ccs.neu.edu/home/battista/documentation/winbind/). Here are

lockups with windows 2000 client, every 15 minutes or so
...n. The network seems to
be in two states, one broken (where windows can not find the share or
transfer any data to my ogg player) and one working. The network alters
between these two states every 15 minutes or so.
The minimal testcase that I use is to resolve the hostname of the samba
server (ulysses) with the command 'nbtstat -a ulysses' in the Windows
command line. When the network is in "working state", i get a copule of
replies to that question in about 0.1 seconds. When the network is
broken, I get "Host not found" after a short timeout (perhaps 3 seconds)....

let's see what the app store says
...o far, which might well help explain
its good ranking, as there's little else of note in its feature-set.
***
one other finding of significance is that a search for "markdown"
returns 9 app-store hits now, revealing new high price-points of
$10 ("markdown pro"), $20 ("ulysses") and $25 ("markmywords".)

Login controller additions
I have added roles and roles_users table and updated the model so that
my users can have multiple roles.
("Admin" role does always have id = 1).
I have added these methods to my application controller.
<code>
helper_method :is_admin?
helper_method :is_user?
def is_admin?
if @session[''user'']
@session[''user''].roles.find(1)

Defect question?
Hey guys,
Take a look at http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/732. The essential
''problem'' is that Rails doesn''t support a module and a class both
named Customer. (::Customer, not in modules themselves)
Is this something that''s even possible with ruby? it looks like it
should be marked as wontfix? But as I''m a little new to ruby, I
figured

ok, now i've got it correct
...gs, enter through "top charts",
which will give you at least the top-180 in unit volume.
"marked" comes in presently with a sales-rank of #50.
and "multimarkdown composer" rings in now at #131.
writeroom, scrivener, and iawriter knot from #17-#19.
and the newbie "ulysses" weighs in at a respectable #91.
on "top-grossing", "marked" is #120, "composer" #145.

Accessor not set
Hello!
I have a list of bands, and each band belongs to one genre:
class Band < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :genre
end
class Genre < ActiveRecord::Base
has_many :bands
end
In the list.rhtml, when I do:
<% for band in @bands %>
<td><%=h band.genre.name%></td>
</tr>
<% end %>
it gives me: _undefined method `name'' for nil:NilClass

404 and NameError
Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew a fix for this problem I have. I''ve
ported one of the apps I work with to Rails 0.10.0 to use Routes.
Everything works great, except for 404 pages.
The thing is that if I give a non existent path, I get the correct 404
error page back. However if I request a non existent file such as
test.php (in fact anything non existent that isn''t a
