TDD - stops receiving characters
We are working on a TDD application and testing with an Ultratec SuperPrint 4425 in Australia. We've got it to exchange characters fairly cleanly for a minute or two but after that we seem to be getting a signal but no character in Asterisk. Has anybody done any work with the Asterisk TDD functionality and got it to work reliably? Does anyone have any i...

innov_save, what is it? why does it hurt me so?
hi, I am using speex1.2beta2 on a TI 54x on narrow band I have been trying to get speex to work for a while now, and it's been a real teeter-totter ride. For a long time I noticed that I will get a project to work and then without changing any code and programming it to an eprom/flash the project will not work. It turns out it was a value called innov_save. I found this bugger by zero

Data space crunching-how small can I get?
Hi, I am using speex 1.2beta2 on a C5416, 16 bit, narrowband. The project I am implementing speex into is very limited in Data space. In the speex decode_init and encode_init there are allocs that, combined, take up 0x0F94 of data memory. I do not know why the various allocs are sized the way they are but that number is too big to fit into our project. I was wondering if those numbers (for

alignment and static variable size question
Hi, I am using 1.2beta2 on a TI 54x, narrow band I changed all the speex dynamic allocation variables to static ones. It seems to work ok but when minor things change in the project it all goes to hell. I was hoping somebody could: a) verify that my sizes are correct or if they are too small b) Tell me if anything in the speex library is supposed to be aligned in any way in memory. I

Shift count warning messages
Hi, I'm using 1.2beta3 on a 5416 DSP I have been getting warning messages that say: "kiss_fft.c", line 142: warning: shift count is too large I've noticed this on the echo canceller and the preprocessor. all pretty much related to these two lines of code: kiss_fft C_MUL4(scratch[0],Fout[m] , *tw1 ); mdf.c st->wtmp2[i] =

strange encode/decode results on C54x
wow, the attitude wasn't necessary. What I was asking wasn't in the documentation, how am I supposed to know I wasn't supposed to initialize the encoder/decoder every time (I was trying to save space for the allocs), I've never dealt with codecs before and it isn't in the documentation. I was not insinuating that your code was wrong, I was hoping you could tell me that I set

strange encode/decode results on C54x
Hello, I currently have speex "working" in my project but the encode and the decode don't seem to be working like I would hope. I am using speex 1.2beta2 and I am trying to 16bit 8kbs narrowband. on the decode side I encoded a voice on a windows machine. I took the encoded information and transferred it over to the C54x project and decoded it and it didn't sound that great.

Attempting to shrink speex: Are these functions necessary?
for the bits init I am using speex_bits_set_bit_buffer and I don't use the write to or read from because the data is already in the buffer I am reading from and I am writing to the final buffer so I don't need to move arrays around. what part is the vocoder part of the decode? Thanks for your help! -Mike >>> Jean-Marc Valin <jean-marc.valin@usherbrooke.ca> 08/06/07
