rsync hangs, leaves defunct process
...g file list ..." Since the processes seem not to be killable, the only "remedy" is to reboot the backup- server. Then it will work for a few days, until it hangs again. Installed are two SuSE 9.3 EE Linuxes, both fully updated. I'm not sure which kernel versions, but both sh?uld be 2.6.x I think. If that is important please tell me how I could provide you with that information. BTW it's "rsync version 2.6.3 protocol version 28" I'm kind of lost here, and not exactly into Linux. I would appreciate any help. Kind Regards, David

Per-folder (per-mailbox) message expiration with control from client side — is it possible?
...E----- Hash: SHA512 I'm migrating from ?old skool? solution with one mail client (MUA) on one computer, which retrieves mail via POP3, sorts it and manages it locally to installation when there are several MUAs on different devices, accessing mail via IMAP4, and all sorting and management should be server-side. Sorting is ?easy?: sieve. Here are some nuisance (like, if I want to rename folder/mailbox I need to edit script manually. BTW, it looks like that such thing could be done automagically, as language is very simple and find all references to mailboxes is not too hard task), but it...

Has anybody had much luck using winbind and PAM to allow log on to Linux worksataions using a windows NT Domain acount ?. Any info, or past experiences shared will be helpful and much appricia...

xy plot in version 2.7.1 for Mac (PR#12520)
...formatted my hard disk on my MacBook Pro using a clean install of Leopard (had Leopard before too but not from a clean install). I had to reinstall R, and therefore installed the new version 2.7.1 for Mac. In preparing some graphs, I noticed something very strange for the x-y line plot. I couldn't find anything in the help but I am new to R and maybe someone has reported this. Basically, the graphing program refuses to connect the points 99 and 100, 199 and 200, etc. if you plot from 0. I have attached some PDFs showing the problem. Here is the simple code. > x<-c(0:350)...
