Computing skewness and kurtosis with the moments package
Hi,
I'm a newcomer to R, having previously used SPSS. One problem I have
run into is computing kurtosis. A test dataset is here:
http://www.whinlatter.ukfsn.org/2401.dat
> library(moments)
> data <- read.table("2401.dat", header=T)
> attach(data)
> loglen <- log10(Length)
With SPSS, I get
Skewness -0.320
Kurtosis -1.138
With R:
> skewness(loglen)
[1] -0.317923
> kurtosis(loglen)
[1] 1.860847
Using the example s...

could you include a demo config file of how to set up ices with jack in
the tarball? I think I can more or less figure it out from the source, but
I don't know what the 'sleep' parameter does, or how to format the
metadata file.

output to that to feed into the input of ices.
Or you could try playing the stream with mpg123 -s http://url, and pipe
this into ices, set up to take pcm input from stdin. You might have to
pipe through sox as well to get the format right for ices.

streamers like peercast or streamer (google on the names plus 'peer to
peer broadcast'). With these, every listener is also a relay for other
listeners, so the broadcasting machine only needs enough bandwidth for 2
or 3 streams.

Multi ISP ppp0 and ppp1 switching
Hi, I currently connect to my ISP via my adsl modem in bridge mode and PPPoE. I am due to put a second PPPoE ISP onto my firewall box which will give me ppp0 (general) and ppp1 (static leased line). The static leased line will run a number of services on its static IP and it is therefore imperative to make sure rules defined for the static line are assigned to the correct interface. I need this to

Re: [LARTC} how can I compile tc
Ok, I tried it out but for some reason it doesn''t take for the compile
process. This is, after export KERNEL_INCLUDE=/usr/src/linux/include/ if
I run export this declare -x KERNEL_INCLUDE="/usr/src/linux/include/" is
there. But when I run make in iproute2 I still get the
