totem: something wrong with gstreamer-plugins-ugly
When running totem to play a move (e.g. mpeg-1 file), it fails with the message: "A MPEG-1 System Stream demuxer plugin is required to play this stream, but not installed." After reading docs and trying various things I've reduced the source of the problem to the package gstreamer-plugins-ugly-0.10.11-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm # rpm --rebuilddb # rpm -q libdvdread libdvdread-4.1.3-1.el5 #

Ugly, garbled output from autotest
I am getting this horribly ugly output from autotest when a test fails. However, whenever I try to run anything in Program Files, for example (with the space in the file name), I get the following error: /opt/wine/bin/wine.bin: cannot find 'mnt/c/Program\

Can we use gstreamer bad, ugly and ffmpeg packages ( installed using binary rpms) without any legal problems
Hi We are using centos 5.3 Operating system. It comes with basic gstreamer setup including gstreamer, gstreamer-tools, gstreamer-plugins-base and gstreamer-plugins-good packages. To support different media formats we had to install gstreamer-plugins-bad, gstreamer-plugins-ugly and gstreamer-plugins-ffmpeg from third party repository like rpmfusion as centos repository is not providing these

Newbie Question

I''m slowly emerging from the stone ages, and leaving my powerbuilder behind ? yes, I know, keep the snickering to a minimum please! I started into J2EE/STRUTS, but was quickly frustrated by how long it would take to code anything but relatively

Ugly menu/dialog font of applications, using debian sarge and wine 0.9.8 and 0.9.22
hello, I have a problem with an unsuitable font in the windows menus/dialogs with the above versions of wine (dont think this depends much on the versions, though. Have not tried other versions so far.) when using debian sarge. The font seems to look a bit ugly, usually destroys partly the menu/dialog structures, and, most important, has no German umlaut's (the diphtongs ae, oe, ue and

Asterisk Debugging
I'd like to have Asterisk log useful messages during operation. Is there any way in extensions.conf that I can manually log messages to a file, say via syslog()? The console output is ugly, with all the extra "Executing NoOp("SIP/pstn.voip.com-08a28bd0"," crud at the front of each line. I'm not sure how to save console output anyway. Thanks, Doug.
