We have an existing Samba 4.8.3 server that is configured to use the ldap

was hoping to replace that server because it has its own issues, but with

Hello,
I'm trying to find if the access within a loop body is using the loop
induction variable, and to get the start and end indices of the loop.
for(int i = start; i < end; i++) { A[i] = 0; }
Let's say, I want to replace this with a function call 'zero(A,start,
end)'
How can I get the Value for start and end, and see if the index is same as
loop induction variable?

pam_smbpass and ldap
...m and libldap
among other things.
Can someone tell me if pam_smbpass is using the SAM DB API? If
pam_smbpass is hardwired for the smbpasswd file, that would explain my
troubles.
If it is using the SAM DB API, can anyone give me any direction?

Mysterious new problem: nss_ldap: could not soft reconnect to LDAP server
Suddenly as of this morning, none of my users can authenticate to samba

either the LDAP server or the Samba server. Looks like this in
/var/log/messages:

Yet, the LDAP server IS available, and happily chirping away

Samba, email, LDAP and password integration and management
I set up a test server about a year ago to try this and gave up since it didn't seem
that the processes were quite yet in place to do it ..
I am evaluating the potential for Samba and Linux accounts (including postfix email
accounts) to share the same passwords and have a process in place to encourage users
to change their passwords and try to prevent esay to crack passwords
