Installing and updating the game was successful. But after login and when launching, a white screen appears followed by a wine crash message window and nothing more happens. :( My opengl is working fine in glxgears and unigine heaven benchmark... My videocard is a radeon 6850 with catalyst 11.1 propietary driver. Code: victor at vcpc:~/.wine/drive_c/Arquivos de programas/Ubisoft/The Settlers 7

[PATCH v3 09/26] compat_ioctl: move drivers to compat_ptr_ioctl
Each of these drivers has a copy of the same trivial helper function to convert the pointer argument and then call the native ioctl handler. We now have a generic implementation of that, so use it. Samba4 CIFS proxy: NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS
Hello, I'm trying to use the cifs proxy vfs module in Samba4. I can join the domain seemingly without problem. When trying to access the proxy server (and hence its share) I get NT_STATUS_NO_LOGON_SERVERS. My setup is as follows: root@proxy# ./setup/provision --realm=<realm> --domain=<domain> --adminpass=<adminpass> \ --server-role='member server'

Rails Site: VegasLists.com
Just wanted to drop a note about a new Rails site that we''re testing in the wild, http://www.vegaslists.com. The site allows users to create lists about anything Las Vegas related and then lets other users comment on those lists. It was a project that went from concept to completed in about 2 weeks, working on it after the ''real job'' for fun. It''s very simple

Playonlinux and Office 2007
I'm trying to install MS office 2007 standard trial using Playonlinux on Wine 1.3.8. I need to install stuff like MSXML, .net 2 etc... but when I start installing them, a dialog pops up saying 'choose a prefix to patch'... and the list below is empty. If I forward the dialog just closes.

deleting dynamic dns records
Hi, We have 2 DCs with isc-dhcp and bind9 on debian buster using sernet packages. Those serve about 40 known (MAC:IP mapped by dhcp) clients and and offer the net 10.0.254.0/24 for unknown guests ... the internal LAN is 10.0.0.0/16. We use the dhcp-dyndns.sh to write the dns records into the AD. Though writing works better than expected only a very few records will be deleted :( ---cut--- root

Puppet Module for Virtualization Management
...can be extended with new modules, which are reusable, sharable units of Puppet code. This year, during the Google Summer of Code [1], I developed a new Puppet's module: Puppet-virt. Puppet-virt [2] provides a new type that allows the administrator to deploy and manage virtual machines using r *uby-libvirt* . At first, only Xen fullyvirtualization, Xen paravirtualization, KVM and OpenVZ are supported. If you have any suggestion or contribution, fell free to contact me and/or fork the repository at github. :) Regards, Carla Souza [0] http://www.puppetlabs.com/ [1] http://socghop.appspot.c...

[PATCH 00/15] Fix issue with KOBJ_ADD uevent versus disk attributes
This is an attempt to fix the issue that some disks' sysfs attributes are not ready at the time its KOBJ_ADD event is sent. The symptom is during device hotplug, udev may fail to find certain attributes, such as serial or wwn, of the disk. As a result the /dev/disk/by-id entries are not created. The cause is device_add_disk emits the uevent before returning, and the callers have to create
