noob:Can't get IL-2/1946 to run!
...on a quad core AMD with 4GB or ram. I've updated Il-2 to the 4.08 version with the available patch (seemed to patch okay -- ran the patch through Nautilus in Admin mode). This is the command under properties for the icon: env WINEPREFIX="/home/swygert/.wine" wine C:\\Program\ Files\\Ubisoft\\IL-2\ Sturmovik\ 1946\\il2fb.exe. Hi, With Bruno Jesus, we create a hack to pass the ReadFileEx error for the Ubisoft Game Launcher (see bug #28119). I tried the hack with 3 games and they work correctly. Hi everybody, It seems to me that the problem results from it bug : #17195 (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=17195) For Luke, there are limitations in the existing wine architecture and it's maybe the reason why AC2 and Brotherhood don't launch with the Online mode. Problem, Luke can't work to fix this bug and i don't know if others devs can search to resolv it.
