rsync not prompting for username, only password
...prompted for a password? I have "auth users = username" set in /etc/rsyncd.conf and a corresponding entry in /etc/rsyncd.secrets but still rsync only asks for a password. rsyncing read-only files
...downloading from A, I get permission denied for files on A that have mode 600. Is there a way to get rsync to download all files, irrespective of their modes? ...the %u parameter to get the UNIX username. However, the log file that is created is actually called log.%u, not log.<username> as I want. Can anyone help?
