I downloaded these 4 files: app_rxfax.c app_txfax.c asterisk.patch spandsp-20061130.tar.gz for use with asterisk 1.4 (these are the 1.4 files) I installed spandsp, copied app_rxfax and app_txfax into /asterisk-1.4beta3/apps my question is what do I do with asterisk.patch? I tried to put it in the apps directory also and run "patch < asterisk.patch" and it gave me an error.

Hello all, After compiling successfully Asterisk and AMPortal, I cannot make the fax module work. I downloaded and installed the module spandsp-0.0.2pre10 When i send a fax from the fax machine to asterisk, the application rx_fax saves the fax in a file on the hard disk. The problem comes when I try to send a fax from the PBX with the function tx_fax. The fax machine receives the call but it prints a blank page (The fax says: mistake of communication). Hi All, With spandsp.0.0.2 pre20 installed I can't seem to send faxes with tx_fax over a Zap channel (POTS). rx_fax works just fine so no issues with libtiff and (presumably) libxml2. Aloha, We are looking to roll a solution that will have the following network layout: ISDN-PRI <--> Asterisk <--> T.38 <--> ATA <--> Fax Does version 1.8 with the Digium fax driver have this capability? Hello! I'm trying to make fax work on Asterisk 1.6. I've installed DAHDI, marked spandsp as app_fax, but faxes are not going trough, although application itself installs successfully.
