...bought a targeta quadbri. I want to realize a PBX server to send and to receive fax on lines BRI. I have installed asterisk and the drivers of quadbri (bristuff_0.2.0-RC7b). I downloaded and installed the module spandsp-0.0.2pre10 When i send a fax from the fax machine to asterisk, the application rx_fax saves the fax in a file on the hard disk. The problem comes when I try to send a fax from the PBX with the function tx_fax. The fax machine receives the call but it prints a blank page (The fax says: mistake of communication). ...n, as I assumed this being general it applies to all sip extensions, and doing a sip show peer ext# did indeed come up with t38pt_udptl = yes The fax is attached to a Grandstream 488, so I set it for fax mode: T.38 I did leave DTMF as inband (can't find any docs on what to use for this). my rx_fax works just fine, but it did for fax pass-through. So how do I determine if T.38 was negotiated?

Hi All, With spandsp.0.0.2 pre20 installed I can't seem to send faxes with tx_fax over a Zap channel (POTS). rx_fax works just fine so no issues with libtiff and (presumably) libxml2. Basically I get 'slow carrier up' and 'slow carrier down' together with accompanying beeping noises until tx_fax times out and hangs up. Hello! I'm trying to make fax work on Asterisk 1.6. I've installed DAHDI, marked spandsp as app_fax, but faxes are not going trough, although application itself installs successfully. I've been using rx_fax tx_fax on 1.4 and everything worked fine. Can you recommend any specific solution to this problem or way to install app_fax? Thanks.
