How do you IT guys diagnose the problem with a spotty internet connection? Just spent an hour on the phone with TWC/Spectrum. Of course they don't see anything wrong with their service. They send me to speedtest.net. The first attempt, the page didn't fully load, the second attempt, the page didn't load at all, the third attempt, it loaded. On a 20/2MB line I get 24.83/2.47MB. I have two computers: CentOS 7 (KDE 4) and CentOS 8 (KDE 5). I'm also an avid Doom player (yeah, I'm an old geezer). On C7 using prboom v 2.5.0 and a graphical interface I wrote to select a wad file to play without using the command line, everything works fine.
