R, Shapley Values and TURF
Hi, I'm looking for any information on calculating and using Shapley Values in a TURF context. A paper was presented at an S-Plus conference about this: Conklin M., Lipovetsky S. Modern Marketing Research Combinatorial Computations: Shapley Value versus TURF Tools, Proceedings of 1998 International S-Plus User Conference, Oct. 8-9, 1998, Washington, DC, MathSoft Inc. TURF (total unreplicated reach and frequency) Analysis program
Hi! I am trying to program a TURF analysis and have looked everywhere on the web to see if I can find any clues on how to do this. I've looked at SAS manuals as well. If anyone has ever heard of this kind of marketing analysis and has programmed it I'd be interested in learning how. Any help you could give me is greatly appreciated! VOICEMAIL OPTIONS help needed
Hi everyone, We have a particular user on our Asterisk 1.4.x system who always listens to his voicemail messages via email. - Is there some way to send the voicemail ONLY to email and not retain them on the phone? - Alternatively, can the voicemail system only keep, say, just the last 10 messages (as backup in case of email delivery failure or a message getting deleted in email accidentally

3 or 4 level Split plot
As an agronomist, sometimes i need to perform statistical analisys on "weird" field data, like 3 or 4 level split plot design. I've read both the help of the program, some books and manual about S and "Venables/Ripley, Modern Applied Statistics with S", but i still have problems in (i suppose) formulae sintax. I'm trying to perform AOV, as explained showed in

Tabulating using arbitrary numbers of factors
Dear R-help, First of all, thank you VERY much for any help you have time to offer. I greatly appreciate it. I would like to write a function that, given an arbitrary number of factors from a data frame, tabulates the number of occurrences of each unique combination of the factors. Cleary, this works: > table(horse, date, surface) <SNIP> , , surface = TURF

Samba 3.0 Alpha
Does net rpc join work in SAMBA (using HEAD from CVS compiled this morning) Configured with ACL, with PAM, and with WINBIND. It seems that I cannot rejoin my domain (PDC is NT4sp6a) after I turfed machine.sid and secrets.tdb. I tried using smbpasswd first and was informed to use net join rpc instead. Logs available if needed. Thanx Hans

No new daily R-devel tarball since r69202?
Is there any reason that the R-devel tarball at [1] stucks on r69202? It seems, that newer R-devel versions are now published on /pub/misc/cran/src/base-prerelease, for example at http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/misc/cran/, but without an R-devel.tar.gz tarball ... Is this intended? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thanks and greetings, Rainer Hurling [1]

How serious are we about not wanting to see...
Personally, I am agnostic. I've just read thru Centos documentation that there is a big effort to remove all upstream personalities from Centos. Personally, I don't see why RH is doing this. I would think that it undermines RH. But I'm still new/old to all of this. It used to be the big argument was between Unix from Berkeley(4.? I think) and SysIII/V. Always always battles for turf.

I am working out of a John Blair Book SAMBA: Integrating UNIX and Windows 1998 PROBLEM: unable to print to the 2nd of two printers on a samba host. ENVIRONMENT: -4 systems in a home network; connected to an HP hub (10 meg) -3 systems run Red Hat linux 9.0 (system names: snoopy, white, olblue) -4th system runs Windows 2000

Trust between Samba PDC and AD domain
I've pored through the documentation, wiki, lists, etc, and I can't seem to come to a concise conclusion on how to accomplish this. My specific scenario is the following. I have a samba PDC domain called domainA, and an AD domain called domainB. domainA and domainB are different named domains, and they each authenticate logins and credentials on their own turf. The users on domainA

New X crappy for older stuff?
While burning in a new desktop Epox KT-880 workstation, I'm running on my old K6-III at 360MHz. Before new X updates (put everything in today, kernel, elfutils, ntpd - Selinux issues? - xorg, ...) with my PCI ATI 7000 (Radeon) on a 19" Samsung 950b @ 1024x768 (one of 5 different resolutions I commonly use), I could scroll smoothly at reasonable rates. With the new stuff I get severe

How serious are we about not wanting to see...
It's a trademark issue. CentOS is not Red Hat, so they can't use Red Hat's trademarks. Nothing more, nothing less. On 14/12/14 09:50 PM, Clayton Kirkwood wrote: > Personally, I am agnostic.
