Syncing sysvol -> samba-tool ntacl sysvolreset?
...ften go weeks/months without checking my gmail) but I saw this and it caught my eye :) For me, at least, "ntacl sysvolreset" is definitely broken and has been for the last few years. It's on my list of things I really need to fix as soon as possible, but I just haven't had enough tuits - probably because as Rowland says, there hasn't been much discussion of any breakage and therefore I assume it works for other people. In my case, it's definitely not working :) I'm following these bugs in bugzilla: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12363 https://bugzilla.sa...

unexpected shutdown, had to reinstall xorg.server

This is a debian wheezy based install, and the system drive is ext4, and the 2nd drive is ext3, for amanda's use as backup medium using virtual tapes. sysvolcheck and sysvolreset errors
...currently have. I did try and improve things a few years back, but found so many layers in the stack (just from memory - Python code, python libraries, C code, VFS code, and probably more) that enhancing the error reporting (for example to show *which file* an error related to) just required more tuits than I had available then. It's one of those "itch" things - I spent quite a few weeks on and off, trying to use this itch of mine to improve the error reporting, but ultimately gave up and I now avoid sysvolcheck.. sorry.. rails compatible http servers that support ssl client auth
So far, apache is the only server I have found that supports ssl client authentication. Pound can forward the client certificate so I could verify it myself. I couldn''t find any information on client auth with lighttpd. Litespeed evidently doesnt'' support it. I''ve been trying to use apache for the ssl connection and then pass the ssl env back to mongrel or lighttpd,

samba / ggc binarys for HP-UX 9.04
Hello List, I am searching the current samba binarys for a HP9000/827S with HP-UX 9.04. Unfortunately we have only the very basic C-compiler installed, that won't do ANSI. Therefore, out attempts to compile gcc from source failed too. Is there anybody able to send me the current Samba binarys, or alternetivly point me to a location for the binarys? Does anybody know a location for gcc

Environment with no parent?
Is it possible to create an environment that has no parent (or an empty parent)? I would have thought e <- new.env(parent=NULL) would work, but it acts as though the parent is the base namespace: > get("close", envir = e) function (con, ...) piggybacking on the "Syncing Sysvol" thread ... I had thought that the conventional wisdom was that ntacl sysvolreset should be mostly avoided once relative stability achieved and additional GPO's created. https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Sysvolreset Has this changed recently? smartd and 3ware 9xxx configs
I'm looking to do a bit more monitoring of my 3ware 9550 with smartd, and wanted to see what others were doing with smart for monitoring 3ware hardware. Do you have the smartd.conf configured to test, or simply monitor health status? Are you monitoring the drive as centos sees it (/dev/sdX) or are you using the 3ware /dev/twaX for monitoring? Opinions and discussions are welcome :-P --
