Simple windows application not quite working
I am trying a popular simple educational windows application on Ubuntu (8.10) and Wine 1.1.12. The application is called Atoumath (simple application to test metal calculation capabilities: http://www.kervenec.net/atoumath/telecharge.php). Sorry it is a french application but it is quite easy to install and use. I am able to install and run the application with Wine but some of the UI is not properly rendered. If you go to the top left menu in the main window of the application (Additions menu) then click on the first entry ("Tres facile" which means "Very easy&quo...

[PATCH] qemu-dm monitor doesn''t support the quit command
Hi All, It is natural that there is quit command in original QEMU. However, I don''t think that the HVM domain on Xen is necessary. Because there is a possibility of shutting down GuestOS due to the mistake. I think that I should prohibit the quit command of qemu-dm. Thanks -- Takanori Kasai _________________________________...

.Internal(quit(...)): system call failed: Cannot allocate memory
Dear R-developers, Some of the more fat scripts (50+ GB mem used by R) that I am running, when they finish they do quit with q("no", status=0) Quite often it happens that there is an extra stderr output produced at the very end which looks like this: Warning message: In .Internal(quit(save, status, runLast)) : system call failed: Cannot allocate memory Is there any way to avoid this kind of warnings? I...

v2.8.1 crashes on quit(save="yes") or just won't save (PR#13612)
Full_Name: Anne Gilman Version: 2.8.1 OS: Mac OS X 10.4.11 Submission from: (NULL) (132.177.75.245) Dear R Team, Today I upgraded from R 2.2.2 to 2.8.1 ...then I restarted, did a bunch of work, and tried to quit. (Note that I have oodles of stuff saved in the work environment; took almost a full minute to start up.) After over 10 minutes, it was still trying to close up, and the problem (below) for DBfetch was mentioned, plus it said *** caught segfault *** address 0x7fffdeb1 cause 'memory not m...

openssh-2.3.0p1 on HP-UX 11.00 went mad
...ot;. (gdb) Undefined command: "". Try "help". (gdb) Undefined command: "". Try "help". I found out that a co-worked security-tested the machine with SAINT. Thus the syslog said this about SSH: rkdvmhp3 sshd[4041]: Bad protocol version identification 'QUIT rkdvmhp3 sshd[4095]: Did not receive ident string from 132.199.206.2. The truely odd thing is that gdb seems to work normally when I try to capture the output via "script", so it might be a terminal thing. Anyway I succeeded to capture the output: /opt/gdb/bin/gdb ~windl/src/C++/HCM/HCM...

per-connection sshd doesn't always pass on SIGQUIT
...than it seems there may be two sshd processes for that, one running as root the other as the user. As far as I know this is because of privilege separation, like e.g.: ??sshd(2931)???sshd(10174)???bash(10180) ? ??sshd(10000)???sshd(10050,someuser)???sleep(10051) When sending INT, TERM, QUIT or HUB to the 2nd process (10050), the first one always exits with and error, and the remote command gets a HUP when RequestTTY=yes|force or nothing when it's =no. When sending INT, TERM, QUIT or HUB to the 1st process (10000), than the second get the same (sent by the 1st) except for the case...

options("quit.with.no.save"), and Windows installer changes
I've just committed a couple of changes to R-devel related to requests at userR about the Windows installer. The first of these affects all platforms, but I've only tested it on Windows: I added an option "quit.with.no.save". If TRUE, then the default q("ask") prompt will not offer to save the workspace. This is in response to the observation that new users who are instructed not to save their workspace, get confused when they accidentally answer Yes to the prompt to save it. I'm...

problem quitting
...aulson of the RStudio team for pointing me to instructions for making the necessary changes. But at the risk of seeming not only ungrateful and pedantic, but also off-topic, can I point out that all this strictly only answers part of my question, which was "why **all of a sudden** I can't quit?" (emphasis added). I'm not conscious of changing permissions, so apparently this was something that was done to me, rather than something that I did. All I know is that the issue seemed to crop up after I installed RStudio. Best wishes, Julian Wells Begin forwarded message: > F...

Cannot quit R - fame package issue?
Hello list member: I've recently had a problem in that I'm unable to quit an R Session. I noticed this after the update to 2.8.0, but I believe I also noticed it on another machine, in the previous version. It occurs on both linux and Mac platforms. It only occurs when I start R in some particular workspaces that have alot of objects in them; it does not occur if I...

What is the quit/exit command? And please add this to the wiki! Oh, I just guessed it: a logout

locator() via tcltk

The "Get coordinates" button seems to be correctly calling getcoords, and locator is doin...
