New NUT user with HP R3000XR problem
...;m using the HP
straight-through serial cable (or is it just a serial extension cable?)
that came with the UPS. That cable bears the following identifying
information:
HP 397237-002
SPARES P/N 397642-001 5006
ups.conf looks like this:
[tokamak]
driver = bcmxcp
port = /dev/tty00
baud_rate = 19200
desc = HP R3000XR (main rack)
This is where things start going pear-shaped. I apparently cannot
communicate with the UPS. I can start the bcmxcp driver, but it fails
to communicate at 9600, and "autodetects" a rate of 19200:

Thanks for you reply.
I have installed asciidoc with "pkg_add asciidoc"
And it returns something:
# asciidoc fgh
asciidoc: FAILED: input file /root/nut/fgh missing
# which
asciidoc
/usr/local/bin/asciidoc
Maybe there is any way to skip building man pages.
This is not the such main thing as a new devices support.
I also could built the driver that I need
# make riello_ser
but I don't

specified. Please refer to the man page for details about these options
(man 8 megatec_usb).
Please report your results to the NUT user's mailing list

This is my ups.conf:

driver = megatec_usb
port = /dev/tty00

I tried, just in case, port = /dev/ugen0.00 but, as I have been pointed
before, this is irrelevant.

ups.conf configure
Hello, I got this information from the manufacturer of my ups Kobian/Mercury
and were tested wtih powstatd on Linux (Works OK). Now i want to configure
it with NUT and i didn't have any luck (it always says OB)
Initiliasation for monitoring: RTS = 1 (High)
Main power fail: CTS = 0 (Low)
Batter low: DCD = 0 (Low)
Kill UPS: DTR = 0 (Low)
How would the ups.conf look like?

Yes, the driver and upsd need to agree on the path to the socket.
From the FreeBSD ports tree:
